Our experience started with reservations. We had originally placed a reservation for 5 people but last minuet had to change it to a table for 6. We called and let them know the day of. They were able to make this modification for us over the phone but let us know we could only dine for 2 hours maximum. I understand the time cap for adding an additional person last minuet, but I didn't like feeling that we might have to rush our dinning experience beforehand. We parked in the parking garage next to the restaurant. Something cool that they do is validate parking for 3 hours but only if you park after 5pm. This was not advertised on their website, it was just on a poster at the door. We parked at the parking lot only to go to this restaurant and arrived at 4:45, we asked for validation on our way out and they said they wouldn't do it because it wasn't exactly after 5. I understand that we were not there exactly at 5 but we got to our reservation early. That was a pretty disappointing experience because we would have parked after 5 if we knew ahead of time. They were quick to seat us even though we arrived early and the service was very fast and efficient which was very nice. Our waitress was kind and knowledgably about the menu and was very willing to answer any questions we had.The food is expensive for what it is. All the food had great flavors, I didn't dislike anything we ordered. But, it didn't taste very much different from other medium grade sushi restaurants I had been too. I thought I was going to be blown away because word of mouth is that this is the best place to get sushi in Boston. In the end, its just a good sushi restaurant with inflated prices. All in all, I would not go back to Douzo but I am glad that I finally got to try it.

Found this gem of a place while visiting Boston. Quick easy walk from the Marriott. Fun sushi bar or great table seating. Sushi was fabulous, service matched. Modern decor. Good find!

I would really prefer to give six stars to Douzo. The sushi was the freshest I can remember, presented beautifully. Seaweed salad and pepper appetizers were super, too. Service was impeccable. You will see me here again. And again.

Delicious food. They have gluten free options. I visited them for lunch. Smaller plates and more reasonably priced. Veronica was serving us. She was incredible!I highly recommend this place!

Absolutely delighted to visit this place for sushi, they’ve got quite a selection for lunch specials/bento boxes and have been in and out in under and hour. Fish is extremely fresh tasting and am looking forward to our next visit when craving sushi!

Best Sushi i have had in a long time. Favorite sushi place in the Boston area. Highly recommended, everything we tried was great.

This place is flat out amazing. The atmosphere is great. If you want to hit the bar, dine with a couple of friends or even have a whole group. Loved the waigyu beef bun and the shorts ribs were amazing. They also have an old fashioned here that is on legendary status. I will be here again a recommend this spot to anyone.

It is a modern or fusion typed of Japanese sushi with a trace of traditional sushi house. Restaurant is clean with practical table arrangement. Friendly and knowledgeable staffs to help and explain to guests. Convenient location near Boston Copley Place, and next to a validated parking garage. Foods are decent in portion, quality, as well as price wise. Reservation is recommended during peak hours.

At first I honestly thought it was going to be another expensive fancy Boston restaurant serving another sushi menu. I was very pleasantly surprised. It was worth every penny. The selection, quality and flavor was some of the best sushi I think I've ever had. Good service, nicely paced. We sat at the sushi bar and were amazed at the constant activity of 6 sushi chefs slicing, rolling, and serving the entire time we sat there. The atmosphere is nice and modern. The food is pricey but really is excellent!

One star for the A5 wagyu beef and one star for the service. Please stop using these cheap and low quality fish since it is 200$ menu. If someone looking for authentic sushi omakase, this restaurant is definitely NOT the place for that. They are NOT ready to serve premium level food for customers.
