We had pre dinner drinks in the upstairs bar where our orders were taken. Meal served downstairs. Attentive professional service. Loved our starters, main courses were as expected. We didn't have desserts.

Had never visited Kirton Cottage before but had a great meal in lovely surroundings.... think a little quirky overlayed with shabby chic and you've got the picture.Meals were all delicious.... nicely cooked and well presented with a decent choice of menu. Really wanted dessert but was just too full!Staff really lovely and helpful too. Planning to return for afternoon tea with friends very soon.

First ever visit to this restaurant for a weekday lunch. Made to feel very welcome by the charming hostess. Food was of exceptional quality and beautifully cooked. The menu choice was very varied and we all enjoyed our different dishes- can recommend the lobster bisque which was absolutely delicious . A personal favourite of mine- treacle sponge and custard was light and fluffy and finished the meal off with a smile. This restaurant was a good ‘find ‘and a place we will definitely return to.

Very nice, we loved it... small and cozy and quite quirky in its layout having, at one time, been a house, veg shop and I believe a solicitors office etc. Food is great. Will definitely be visiting again.

Had a really excellent lunch today. Between the four of us we had Sea Bass, Sirloin Steak and Gammon Steak. The puddings were great too. Everything was high quality, beautifully cooked and presented. Portion sizes were also generous. The service was also the best we've had in a long time. So, full marks all round and highly recommended.

We decided to visit here whilst on our holiday, after hearing so many good things. We went for the Sunday lunch - and let me stress that this is no exaggeration - this was the best Sunday lunch that I've had in over 10 years! The food was to die for and beautifully presented. If you're anywhere close to Kirton Cottage then a visit is a must! Thank you for having us.

If you happen to be near Kirton, I highly recommend this place. Its a converted house but with a reasonable amount of tables and a small bar up stairs. The food is fantastic as is the service. A real hidden gem.
