Merrimans Lounge & Restaurant in Boston

The fiest time, 5 pubs fully booked, so I googled Boston restaurants, saw all the great reviews it had and was able to take Mum who is staying with us. We all enjoyed our lovely meal, cooked by the chef, the staff were helpful and friendly.

Did us a great spread for after my mums funeral we couldn’t eat it all … would definitely recommend… great friendly staff and owners too !!

Always good food. Xmas themed this time good party by all that attended. Waitresses and waiters did a very good job.

Just had the most wonderful meal here with my partner, friendly staff are very welcoming and within 10 minutes of ordering the freshly prepared food was given to us. The starters were absolutely lovely cannot fault them at all! The mains (steak and gammon steak) were absolutely perfect! Will be definitely visiting again and reccomending to all of my friends/family.

We had a buffet at Merrimans after our mums funeral. The buffet was very nice and fresh. There was loads to eat. Everyone felt relaxed. Thank you Merrimans.

Didn't stay to eat pub grub on posh plates how can you serve oven chips and charge 5 star prices

Disappointing. Starters were excellent, and was looking forward to the rest of the meal, however it went downhill from there, very quickly. The pork was inedible, it was extremely dry and hard, and no amount of gravy could make it better. The Yorkshire puddings, burnt. The roast potatoes were like they had been deep fried and were completely solid, it was like trying cut through a rock. Asked for some more vegetables to be brought out, and was told that they would be straight out, however they didn't come, asked again, still didn't come, asked a third time and they eventually brought them out, however this meant the rest of the meal was now cold. The main ended up going to waste, so I moved on to dessert hoping it would be better. No. My apple crumble and custard was stone cold, sent it back to be heated and ended up waiting around 20 mins for it to come back. That turned out to be massive chunks of apple and custard on top, couldn't find any crumble.Also the staff seemed extremely rude, some of the male staff were pushing their way through when people were stood up, even young children playing. The female staff seemed to have an attitude and didn't want to be there either.This was up there with one of the worst meals I've had, but not the worst as the veg was edible 🤣 however I ended up leaving as hungry as I went in.
