The Britannia Steakhouse in Boston

Arriving in reception we were greeted by a slick and professional service (hassle free) Our room 102 Whitham Suite was beautifully decorated with ample space. It had a fantastic view from the window of the river, good tea/coffee facilities with an incredibly comfortable queen size bed. Breakfast was well presented and the whole hotel had a welcoming atmosphere. Would definitely come again and would highly recommend.

Would just like to say I had my first experience with yourselves tonight as was recommended however I was not impressed with the level of service me and my family received, went out for a lovely meal and came to yourselves for drinks to finish the evening however we were told to leave abruptly. The lady waiting was rude and unwelcoming. I have worked in customer service 10 years and would never dream of talking to a customer the way she spoke to me and my family tonight. Safe to say we will not be returning to yourselves and we will be passing our experience onto our friends for near future. Very disappointed.

Good hotel, our room was small but fully equipped. Service was excellent (thanks Francesca). Food was great, better than I would have expected from this level of hotel

Had a lovely two days at this hotel. Beautifully clean & sanitised. Very friendly staff, gorgeous well-cooked meals. Comfortable beds, prestine white sheets & towels lovely comlimentary toiletries The only downside was the price of drinks, which was as usual the same as any public house, very expensive. We have stayed here before and will definitely stay here again as this hotel never disappoints, always improving. Great couple of days break.

Trip down memory lane for us. Cosy and inviting with friendly staff. Had breakfast and evening meal and both were delicious and beautifully presented. Would be great for a function I think.Stayed overnight since writing this review. Luxurious rooms with great toiletries and a rubber duck to play with in the bath...

Staff were all attentive, caring, knowledgeable and worked very well as a Team. Nothing was to much trouble. Staff were always trying to ensure customers received the best customer service. The hotel is decorated beautifully combining the old with the new decor and there is a sense of welcoming throughout. The food menu was varied providing a selection of al a carte dishes to choose from and there was a specials menu which covered many old favourites. The drinks menu offered a good selection of wines and spirits and there were local beers on the menu.My husband and I would like to thank all the staff for giving us a wonderful 2 night stay, you all made it very special THANK YOU.

Stayed here for one evening, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. With a special mention to Gilly and Francesca, who both went out of their way to resolve an issue we had with Expedia! The room was lovely and the restaurant was exceptional. Would definitely recommend!!

Xmas Dinner - Fantastic!Had our Christmas Dinner here, with friends, yesterday and had a fabulous afternoon.The food was exceptional, staff friendly and polite, as always, went above and beyond.Lovely atmosphere, perfect setting and the service was outstanding - the staff coped admirably with the number of seatings.Thank you all - a wonderful day!

I have stayed here and it's excellent. Staff so nice and helpful. Beds comfortable. Very clean Food great. Have also used for lunch a few times as live locally. Would recommend this place highly.

The reception was very warm, arrived with great excitement. The disappointment began with the enduring hike to the room. Six flights of stairs an 3 floors later myself an my partner were breathless, no lift access to this attic level.The room, fighting our way through the narrow passage an opening the door we were met with the double bed an a cold room. With barely any room to get down one side, I have seen more room in a caravan. The floor was sloping, towards the window. The Bathroom was spacious with a shower in one corner that was very small. We explained that the room was cold an the duty reception was puzzled about why this was so.The view was disappointing nothing but a stone Baluster wall.The only radiator in the room to our knowledge was in the Bathroom that was not on until I turn it on. Some good points are the complimentary Tea an Coffee and Hot chocolate. Clean towels, an a comfy bed.Would we come again. Not in room 304
