Bamboo in Broxtowe

Overpriced for what we got. Spent £35 on a set meal + one extra. One item from the set meal was missing. Ordered salt and pepper chips but got normal chips. Everything else was luke warm and pretty bland. Only gave 2 stars bc it actually arrived pretty quickly.

Extremely disappointed. Food was cold. Chips weren’t on the order. Spare Ribs were bland and Tiger prawns were king prawns, only 5 of and squid was ok. Overall, disappointed with a cold meal. On recommendation won’t order again.

Ordered on line for collection. The process was smooth and very simple. Email received with collection time. Food was ready upon arrival. Food was hot. Lovely king prawn curry and the chips were probably the best Chinese chips we’ve had. First time ordering from this Chinese and would definitely order again.

We ordered a set meal for 2 from The Big Bamboo.The starters were so over cooked they just shattered and had no filling. The egg fried rice wasn't very nice. The extra tasty curry was ok, the chicken in the battered chicken balls was dry. The Beef in black bean was bland. All in all disappointing.Won't be ordering from there again.

No where near as good as the previous owner (The Orient). Was told to arrive at 18:30 after placing order at 18:10 and the food was barely lukewarm. Egg fried rice almost appeared as though an egg hadn’t even been added, chow mein was very basic lacking vegetables and seasonings. Very disappointed with the spring rolls, which were mostly batter without much veg at all! Don’t really know how this came to £12 considering the meal was mainly simple carbs and bland. Not returning.

I'm so disappointed.We have ordered quite a few times from here and have always been pretty happy with the food compared to other Chinese takeaways, however, whilst eating out takeaway tonight, we have come across pieces of foil in our food, looking a bit like a chocolate or sweet wrapper's.As you can imagine, spitting pieces of foil out your food whilst eating is quite off-putting.

Im am very very disappointed, I placed my order at 6.57. I got an email telling me my food would be with me at 8.14. At 8.20 I phoned to see where my food was and was told it had left the shop 5 mins ago. At 8.35 still no food, so phoned up again and was told my food had not left the shop and would be 20 mins. I then complained and the boss got on the phone and said my food would be 5 mins and to never order from her again. Iv have never been spoken to like that before from a takeaway and had to wait 2 hours for a delivery which i had already paid for ! Disgusting.

Not very happy with last night's takeaway.The chow mein was over greasy and no flavour. My partner is Vegan and I mentioned to them that we wanted vegetable fried rice with no egg or any animal produce. They explained it wasn't a problem.We got home and served the food and found a prawn tail in the rice.Just a bit of a shame as we were looking forward to this last night.

We have just ordered tonight and it's not our usual Chinese. I was so disappointed. I chucked away most of my meal. Had the salt and pepper squid and the batter was soggy and it didn't taste of much. Ordered yeung chow fried rice as i always do and all it had in it was pork and rice. No chicken, no prawns. That's the whole reason i order it. Everything bland and lacking taste so i will not be ordering again from this place.

Seriously love this takeaway! If I'm ever having Chinese I will order from here. I normally go through Just Eat to make things simpler but would recommend this place to anyone wanting a Chinese takeaway. 5 stars wouldn't dream of giving it less, the food isn't greasy it's lovely. You won't regret eating here.
