Hahaha don't bother. The front of house staff are lovely but the hotel is rubbish and very dirty!! Our initial room was horrible but the upgraded room was OK just dirty. That's the theme for this hotel.... Dirty. The food is OK, the options run out fast and the ice cream soup comes out before the sweet potato fries. The bar isnt well stocked. Looks good but it's all show. The cooked breakfast is greasy, the fruit is dry, like its been left out a while. The gluten free toast I asked for was frozen on one side and burnt on the other. It was hilariously rubbish!! My advice is.... Don't bother!

Staff were v friendly and helpful but bedrooms were tired and shabby. They need to be redecorated with new carpets and a new bathroom suite. Food was hit and miss. Some of it was very nice and some was inedible. They also ran out of veggie food and had to make some more which led to a huge delay in getting the food whilst the rest of the table had almost finished.

Had my wedding ceremony here which was wonderful, well planned and everyone was very helpful. We decided to book a few nights in the hotel after, the room was on the top floor and a long distance away from getting in an out.hotel area isn't separate to the events so have to walk through hallways full of people to get to the pool/restaurants which is a downside. Thought we would give room service ago (our key come with a paper that states they do this and thought it would be relaxing as its such a walk to get out) but been told they aren't doing it now.The bar doesn't have much variety, I was expecting a few cocktails and it's abit hit and miss with the staff as the bar staff we ordered from seemed very miserable and like they didn't want to be there.Reception staff are friendly.I would definitely recommend for a wedding but wouldn't recommend the stay, wish I'd booked somewhere else for our honeymoon to save the misery.

A beautiful place to visit. The grounds are really lovely. Service is good, but it's difficult to get through to the kitchen around tea time, which is understandable. Rooms are clean, and clearly have had minor maintenance done recently, but carpets show signs of age. All in all a great place to stay, but will hopefully have some minor improvements made when hotel tourism returns to normal and hotels return to making profit post covid.

Stayed here for a two day course recently. Massive venue with loads of amenities in its own grounds. Rooms were OK but basic, little bit dated but absolutely fine. Food was nice at lunch (didn't have breakfast or dinner), breakfast was quite expensive so didn't bother. Quite a walk to my room as there's loads of them. Swimming pool /gym area is nice and well kept. All the communal areas are very well kept too. Few dogs staying here so must be dog friendly I assume. Personally booked via hotels.com as it was much cheaper than direct.

Very nice setting, corridors are very long to access some rooms. And I mean 70m or so long! Spa and gym facilities very nice. Smallish but deep pool, the spa, hot hot sauna and hot steam room all doing what they should. Pool table, snooker table and table tennis all available to use. Breakfast and lunch very good. The only things I would change is the bed I had, the double bed was two divans and two mattresses put together which wasnât comfy and the room doors slam every time someone lets them self close which is annoying in the evenings. Conference rooms large. Very nice hotel and the staff were always happy and very helpful. One even got me some biscuits from house keeping when I was in a meeting as they were so delicious. đ

Me and my partner stayed here in January. We had a lovely stay.. Food was lovely the gym and leisure facilities were easy to access and had a range on offer.. Free parking which is always a bonus. Had to drive to get to certain places. No big deal as we visited the bennerly viaduct which is a great place to walk and take pictures

Hotel is nice and quiet, with large comfortable rooms. Decor is very dated and worn- everywhere is in desperate need of a facelift. The restaurant is lovely- great prices and great food. The staff in the restaurant, in particular are amazing. Our server was Katie, and I have to say, weâve never met a nicer person, and someone who was so skilled in talking to everyone she served. She treated everyone with respect, kindness and like they were her friends. It was so lovely talking to Katie, and her ability to adapt to each customer and connect with everyone will make her a great teacher when she graduates! We loved our experience, and we canât recommend the restaurant and itâs staff more.

I have two stars for food only. The breakfast was perfect and we enjoyed it. We stayed for 3 days, wanted a holiday break especially for children to enjoy the pool. Went to the pool in the first day for half hour, swim in the main pool only, next morning my boy gets conjunctivitis. No more pool for the next two days. I wanted the sheets and the covers changed, so we wonât get the bacteria from one to another, but no. Disappointed⊠Didnât slept for two nights because next door ppl shouted all night and my boy get sick from the bacterias of the pool. I spoke with the manager and let them know but I think that didnât matter and you let the ppl in the pool. And was more children in the hotel⊠I expected to someone asked how my boy was doingâŠSpend 30 pounds on medicines, didnât slept and was anything but a holiday.A total nightmare. Thanks but no thanks.
