Great little pub. Only two small rooms, with a decent outside area. Food looks good and the prices are fair. Good choice of beers.

·

Nice antiquated pub that serves lovely home cooked meals.A small variety of beers served by friendly staff.Cleaner must have been off for the last 6years.Cobwebs aplenty adorning the walls, speakers and windowsills.Other than that, a warm smile greets you when you arrive.

·

Lovely country pub with original interior and good sized garden to the rear. Serving a nice and well kept range of real ales and doing superb Sunday roasts. Well worth a visit.

·

·

Good value for money! Good to see young people working and doing a good job. If you go with a dog enter through the front door!

·

Awful experience. The meal was so bland, the vegetables were overcooked so they tasted like water and the meat was so tough and was barely warm.On a positive the roasted sweet potato and parsnips were nice and tasty though. I complained about the pork and they offered to reheat it! Pork! Reheat! Really. 😵 I declined.I think a £3.99 frozen dinner from Iceland would have tasted better.Except here you get a vegetable soup for a starter included in the price of £10.50 which tasted quite nice until I saw the black hair in it!And then I was charged full price even after drawing attention to both courses being inedible.

Visited this place whilst in the area and did not know what to expect. On entering the pub, it displayed the Cask Marque which for me tells me this place knows how to keep it's beer. An excellent choice of 4 ales were on offer. 2 of which were local.A large menu of home cooked food was available with a number of specials. The food came in large portions so you definitely won't leave this place hungry yet the quality was high. A children's menu was also available which included an ice cream. Home made chips are worth a mention. All more than fairly priced. The interior was classic pub and this was complimented by a large beer garden with roaming chickens. Plenty of parking available too.The staff were very friendly, making us feel welcome which added to an overall great Saturday lunch.

Friendly staff and customers. Great beer garden. Here with family on bank holiday Sunday. Beer tent with guest ales and live music.
