Cafe Mash in Charnwood

Very welcoming and accommodating as we did not have a booking. The food was very tasty.

We had our third takeaway from Cafe Mash and it was the best! Delicious, hot, very tasty and delivered on time. We will definitely be ordering again.

Disappointed, we had heard mostly good things about this restaurant and so we were quite excited for our meal. The restaurant was grubby, the paint was peeling off the walls in places, there were big white marks on the walls and the skirting boards were disgusting in the toilet. The restaurant needs a really good clean and re-painting.When it came to the food, My partner said the korma was very bland, but I enjoyed the tikka masala. There wasn't very much paneer in either dish at all and the portions of curry and rice were very small.We thought it was very very overpriced for what you got, at £10.99 for a small curry and £1.99 for a can of pop that was 8cm tall and 4cm wide (I wish I was joking).Then the bill for the bar was wrong, £6 overcharged! When I mentioned this to the waiter, it came back and it was still £2 too much. We had even pointed to, and added up everything we had on the menu. For a rum and gin at £3.99 each and a tiny can of coke and lemonade at £1.99 each we should have paid £11.96. We were originally charged £17.98, and then they brought it down to £13.98. By this point me and my partner had decided we weren't coming back and it wasn't worth arguing over £2, so paid and left.At the end of the day, the dishes were no better than any other Indian restaurant that charge almost half the price!

Dined in and had delivery multiple times and never been disappointed. Restaurant is beautifully decorated and feels very welcoming and homely. Staff are always very helpful and will give advice on the menu. Food is always delicious and hot, served in generous portions. I recommend their balti in particular. On exit, I am given a single rose which is a nice touch. Can't wait to visit again!

Cafe Mash is one of my favorites. I especially like their fish curries and Cafe Mash special curry. Tonight we had the set meal for 2 delivered which included starters, naan, poppadoms, rice and a couple of curries. For the quality of food you get the price is good value. A great place with great service.

The delivery time was great considering what we ordered, the food tasted amazing. We got a free coke bottle (1.5L). We ordered a £53 meal as a family, I had a Chicken Rogan Josh with boiled rice, along with a Chapati . My portioning size was great. (The picture is after I’d ate)

This was my first take away from Cafe Mash after hearing some great feedback from a friend. I can honestly say it was gorgeous! So much food for one person, it served me both an evening meal and lunch the following day! Prices are slightly higher than the average take away but I totally understand why with the amount of food and the flavour. Would highly recommend to the local area.
