Caravelli Italian Restaurant in Charnwood

Wow, guys what an evening. We diddnt follow the pasta night menu as there was so much there, the menu allows for you to have a smaller pasta as a starter, we had the beef and some prawns as mains, so fresh and full of flavour. The pistachio cheesecake is amazing. What sealed it for us was the customer experience. It was busy but nothing was too much for our waiters. My new favourite place to eat this side of London. Thankyou Caravelli !

We had the pasta menu on Tuesday.The neapolitan mussels for starter was probably the star dish, full of deep flavours.The pasta al salmone was so overcooked it was actually shocking. I expected al dente as a minimum for this dish, for an Italian kitchen this is unacceptable. The taste was good though.We had pistachio cheesecake desert and that was exceptional, not too sweet and full of pistachio flavour.Service good and genuine Italian. Will come again to try other options.

Absolutely amazing cozy restaurant and hotel in the heart of Loughborough. Staff is incredibly attentive with the customers and the place has amazing vibrant energy. You will not be disappointed. Also do yourself a favour and get the pistachio cheesecake. Thank me later and Bravo!

This was the most disappointing meal we've had in the years we've been coming. It's remained our favourite Italian...until now. Firstly, we waited for a long time to order drinks, which is daft as we were a large party and the restaurant could have made a lot more money from us! Secondly, the food was also a sad disappointment. The starter consisted of four small mushrooms, with oil/butter and a small amount of salad. I wouldn't mind the lesser size if they were tasty, but they weren't anything special at all sadly. For main, I treated myself to the fillet. Cooked well, but covered in thick parmesan and Peppers and served with vegetables. There were no potatoes to be seen for any of the dishes, despite them having been on the menu...the whole party ended up ordering some chips, as the meals needed some carbs! The staff seemed to have more important things than our party and we're not a demanding bunch! It was such a shame, but the difference since the team has changed was very apparent to us. Hopefully just a bad night...?

We are from out of town and I googled fine dining in Loughborough and this restaurant came up first, I perused the menu and liked what I saw so booked a table. Friendly faces on arrival and attentive but not overbearing staff. Food was divine as was the wine. Cannot fault anything about our experience. We will come back again if we find ourselves in the area.

Amazing authentic italian food at this small but tasteful restaurant.The staff are super friendly, the food is seriously good, although pn the pricey side so it's a special occasions type of place.we went for date night....had the goats cheese starter and mains I had steak which literally melted in the mouth.Facilities are clean. Not wheelchair friendly tho as facilities are up 2 flights of stairs...not sure if there is a accessible loo downstairs available or not.

True Italian , top notch. Great varied menu, all fresh, excellent service.
