The refurbishment is a good improvement on the room and makes ordering much easier, the staff however didn't seem too happy to be there. Also not sure why they have an automated coffee machine right next to a barista one? A little disappointed our coffees came from there. If you have a syrup shot in your coffee you won't need sugar as we had about half a cup of syrup, cakes looked nice and everything seemed to be priced reasonably. Also being so new not sure why we saw an engineer for the coffee machine.

It was OK if u wanted a drink but super slow service. Waiting to for fill each coffee order before moving on to the next one. And by 2 no food left really one sandwich and one vegan sausage roll.

Great food and reasonable prices! It was almost all cleared out by the afternoon! It was the only place that accepted card!

The new Deer Barn referb looked good but because of the weather we sat outside. The picnic tables are a little tired but they do the job and there was some shade in the form of 2 large umbrellas but don't think they would be safe in stronger winds. I was disappointed with the the lack of outdoor shelter which is an issue in the colder months. It would be great if there was an indoor dog friendly area. It was however nice to see plenty of bowls of water out for the dogs to drink. The paving stones and rough terrain outside the cafe are not great particularly for the disabled or elderly. It was also very dusty. As far as the service in the cafe goes it was slow with queues building up. The staff however were very polite and respectful. I think there were looking for more staff. Didn't really like the site of the burger van at the entrance it might be better located in the car park. I'm sure the food and drink was fine but it just didn't look good. Despite some negative comments the landscape and weather was fantastic, we'll worth a visit.

Only accept cash, always suspicious. Staff were nice, bacon roll was nice but sadly cost £4:50 for 2 rashers of bacon and a very small roll. Extortionate price for what you get so can not give anything higher than a 2/5

Lovely hot drinks and friendly service. Would benefit from a wider product range and more seating areas around it as they can get very full. Highly recommend though.

In 2022 they only accept cash! Disgraceful tax dodgers.

A cup of best mushroom soup ever amidst chilly cool weather of bradgate park was worth the visit. The range of cakes n brownies is mouth watering. Few items on menu is a but pricey but the soup sandwich combo offer when I visited the park was worth the price!

Good tea and coffee. Indoor seating not available at time of our visit (September 2021), but limited food available at takeaway window, including the most gorgeous coffee and walnut cake! Spacious outdoor area with bench seating and bird watching seat and hole in wall looking across the water.
