Generous Raj in Charnwood

Disappointed with quality and quantity. I dnt like leaving bad reviews but unfortunately had a delivery of 3 starter dishes and I was disappointed, food was barely warm, only sent 3 prawns phoned the restaurant and was told because its only a starter that's all you get. Sorry not worth money.

Ordered food at 1815 called at 1935 got told it was 10 mins away still not arrived at 2010 will not be ordering from there again!!!!!

Don't waste your money. Cold, stale food. Half of order missing. Delivery driver rude. Better off getting a ready meal from Asda. Unsure if they have changed owners/chefs. Will not be ordering from here again!!

Very bad experience!Ok ill start of by giving them some credit, the restaurant looks very clean and well presented and the price and portion size is very “generous”.I ordered via uber eats to collect, ordering at 620pm I was notified my food will be ready to collect at 7:10pm (not bad wait for good food)So I arrive at 7:10 to be offered a bag of food, i questioned what was in the bag to be told prawns etc ( none of what I ordered) 5 mins later I am told someone else took my food and she will be back in 15 mins (at this point im feeling very confused)The lady returns very angry and says to me “id imagine your food is cold I picked it up at 6:30”What runs through my mind then is the so called 50 min preparation was infact 10 minutes which made me think it wasn't freshly prepared either way.At this point I told them I want new food as this has been taken to someones house opened and brought back. To which they said “fair enough”I felt a bit sorry for the boy on shift as he was only about 15 years old.I said how long will it take, 30 mins ok great.After 30 mins i go back in to be given my bag and told “enjoy my food”Got it home, certain parts were still cold, the lamb chops were reheated and the chips were clearly microwaved. Some of the packaging was also slightly open.This made me realise the cheek of them, they had given me the impression they had made new food but in fact given me some nasty food that had left their premises for 45 mins and made me wait an extra 30 mins to be given the same bag of cold and old food.Was a genuine error, the boy wasnt very experienced but seriously how does any business find this acceptable.For that reason I will never return or advise anyone else too. Ruined my evening.

Lovely experience, staff were spot on and food was nice bill was average but yeah nice evening

Went tonight for 70th birthday 4 adults 1 child, great meal and service. Took a birthday cake and they put candles on it and played happy birthday. Use this resturant at least once a month and never had a bad meal. Would recommend

Ordered via uber eats. Delivery was fine but food disappointing. £13.95 prawn dish only had 3 prawns... should probably be called Stingy Raj

Unfortunately it was not the Indian food we were expecting. Everything was chopped so large and in big chunks! Aubergines in quarters, half potatoes and huge florets of cauliflower in the aloo Gobi, huge slices of garlic in the dhal, paneer cubes oversized and the Chilli paneer , it came bright red in sauce with loads of bright red fried onions and did not taste fresh. The salad that came with it however was crisp and fresh with fresh lemons. Every dish was quite bland. Seriously never ever try..waste your money,,,horrible food....

The atmosphere is a bit lacking, feeling more like a house rather than a restaurant. However, the prices are very reasonable. The staff are very friendly and welcoming but service is quite slow. The food was reasonable but not great. For the price you can't complain, however have been to other restaurants in the same price range that offered more.

Have eaten here a few times now, the serve it fabulous, the food was exquisite, the scallop starter a personal favourite. The little touches make the generous raj a really nice place to eat out.We have had a few takeaways too, I always felt that they were lacking as things like dips salad ,popadom were not included . But have had 2 in the past fortnight and was pleased to find the little extras included, so if the effort of going out is to much , the take out serve has definitely improved since last year . Can not recommend this place enough
