Hammer and Pincers in Charnwood

Superb fine dining lunch. Set menu with some choice was £40 but check the latest information. Six of us much enjoyed the long lunch. The waiters were very knowledgeable with humour.

Absolutely flawless! A true demonstration of hospitality. The team both in the kitchen and front of house made our visit here an unforgettable one. From lunch to our nights stay and the equally delicious breakfast in the morning. I highly recommend a visit here.

Excellent cuisine, extremely comfortable stay - we stayed here for one evening in the Forest Room after visiting family in the area. It's no wonder why Michellin recommends; the food is well thought out, flavours are superb, presentation flawless and service impecable. You would easily pay double for this quality in London (as least!).The room is spacious and really comfortable plus lots of homely touches: GHD hairdryer, wireless phone chargers, big screen TV. Highly recommend.

Everything about the Hammer & Pincers is excellent - food, wine, service and rooms. The grazing menu with wine flite was fantastic, as was the following morning's breakfast. Great for vegetarians! Highly recommend.

May look like a charming village pub from the outside, but the food, service, and particularly the wine pairings (and exquisitely detailed explanations!) will absolutely blow you away.Daniel has created a menu which rivals any 1* I've visited, and knocks hard on the door of the 3* I've been lucky enough to eaten at. A real triumph of fresh and seasonal flavours, original composition, elegant presentation, and a wonderful experience to tie it all together.We'll be back for as many of the seasonal menu changes as we can!

We had a superb birthday evening meal at the Hammer. The different courses tasted amazing and all very unique and gave us a chance to try some of the finest food in the area. Will definitely be coming back here.

Food was great, lots of flavour in all parts of the menu. Great venue and atmosphere. Knocked off a star as Head waiter was rude and judgemental on arrival.

Cannot fault this place the tasting menu and flight of wines were first class. The accommodation was a real surprise and so well thought out. Had a fantastic anniversary weekend and will be visiting again.
