Been on a few occasions and always had a fairly positive experience. Most of the staff are fantastic - Jack in particular, I accidently left my purse once mid-covid and he found me on Facebook and ensured I got my purse back. There is one lady who works there (usually breakfast) who is quite sour and miserable but the rest of the staff are pleasant and helpful.Been for both breakfast and dinner carvery - veggies on the carvery can sometimes be a little undercooked but overall I've never had an issue. Cakes are also beaut but they're HUGE!

Very busy but quick service and nice quality food. Cleanliness post covid rules needs some work. Shared serving spoons in the carvery a high concern for virus transmission and toilets particularly doors and handles were very sticky and dirty.

So the good, good quality food at good prices.The bad, huge queues for ordering with inly two members of staff taking orders. Waited over an hour for our starters only to be told the mains were coming out at the same time. When our food arrived some orders were missing parts of the food which is a real shame. Didn't complain at the time as we didn't have time to wait for them to sort it out.Customer service was sadly lacking as we had half the table still eating when they were trying to clear plates which is just a bit rude unfortunately.

Good value roast. Veggie pie was delicious. Good service, friendly staff. Tables cleaned well between customers. Warm. Just what we needed on our drive home.

I will never book on a Sunday again. Too busy, vegetables undercooked, turkey had pink juice running out of it. We usually really enjoy the carvery but will book in the week next time

Very big and popular pub style place with an extensive menu of traditional English pub food, carvery, grill etc.The staff were very friendly and on the ball. It was very busy, being the Sunday after New Year, so there was a little wait for the food to arrive, but it was well worth it.We had pie and mash and smothered chicken. The food was perfectly cooked and tasted very fresh, including the veg, which is something a lot of pubs struggle with. The portions were absolutely enormous!We didn't have room for pudding, but they also looked very good, and are baked on the premises.The place is big enough to have plenty of family seating and a quieter seating area, and indoor and outdoor play areas.

Booked New Years eve “festive meal”, payed deposit, sent email with food we would like to have from options given by pub. Next day when we arrived, we were told that “festive meal” need to be ordered 48 hours before. I was looking forward to this meal, at least someone could come back to my email and tell me that my reservation for “festive meal” was not possible.At the end we had to order food from normal menu… it was awful. Bland, tasteless. Ordered medium rare steak, arrived rare.Would not advise anyone to go there

Great carvery at great price.Visited during a very busy time on a Sunday and the staff worked hard to solve any issues. Kids play area was not the best but it's not meant as a fun factory.Nicely decorated for Christmas.Unfortunately the lighting was not the best in our area and the table and menus were a little sticky.Overall good food at a reasonable price, friendly staff.

Our favourite place; however over the years service has really gone down hill, and this I believe is largely due to lack of staff.I feel embarrassed to say food is not right or its cold or its the wrong order ect, beacuse I do appreciate how hard the staff are working. It is not going missed we see you stressed and tired! So it is a little hit and miss these days and I do hope things improve. Despite this great atmosphere, friendly.They have the best vegan fish and chips, and they have a good selection of vegetarian dishes, including vegetarian carvery. Nice selection of deserts. I liked their table service during lockdown unfortunately not there anymore.Great to sit outdoors in the summer. Dog friendly, our dog loves it here, he gets his very own carvery.Outdoor and indoor play area for children.They offer blue light discount.Overall a nice place to bring friends and family.

Great Sunday Carvery at a very fair price with different sizes to suit. Everything cooked nicely and the staff very friendly. Only criticism is the 3 two seater tables need removing because people walking past are virtually catching us whilst seated eating, table 28 and the 2 others. Being so close to the only entrance and exit made things seriously busy with zero privacy.
