Hong Kong Restaurant in Charnwood

Went here for a celebration to be quite honest the lady that started serving our table was to say the least very very rude, she snatched the menu out of my hand to start with then she was off hand at having to serve our table. She got a male member of staff to finish taking our orders. We weren't rowdy or rude just a normal family out for a meal. We went for the all you can eat buffet as there was a few of us £20 per head. We were asked a few times if we were sure we had finished ordering as if they didn't want us to have anymore food. We had a young growing boy with us who wanted more dishes and when we ordered another dish they didn't seem at all happy. 1 of the adults wasn't eating but we got charged we are sure as the bill was quite high. I find it very rude when dining out that hardly any effort to speak a modicum of English is made, we struggled to understand what our waiter was saying. We witnessed them all huddled and talking in their native tongue quite loudly as if they were angry at us. Myself personally would not go back due to the poor attitude of the staff.The food was ok, the capital ribs were like rubber as if not cooked long enough.Such a shame as 2 of us had travelled over 200 miles for the celebration and we were expecting alot more than what we got manners wise.

Hong Kong City has a very beautiful interior design and the staff is kind and calm here. The food is really delicious and I should really consider coming back here to eat again. A very calm environment in this day makes it a good feeling.

Authentic, never disappointed when I come here for dim sum. I'm born and raised in Hong Kong, this place is the closest you can get with HK/ chinese flavours for a fraction of the price. I live in West London and often makes my way over for lunch/ dinner.It's important to note that it's authentic, including service. Don't expect waiters to serve you as if you're in a normal restaurant in London, the staff is there to take your order, serve the food and bring the bill, they're super chill and I'm there for it! Truly feels like a 酒樓 from home :)

Been coming here for over 6 years now... Not sure why the negative reviews... Affordable and kinda retro dim sum place, in fact the only dim sum place in the area. Always dependable :) prices have gone up since the pandemic but still better than Chinatown ones. Don't expect fine and delicate dimsum, but a homemade vibe that may not always be perfect. Cooked dishes are great too, no complaints.

Great dim sum at reasonable prices food is made fresh. Quick and fast service. Would be nice if the had other options apart from pork there dim sum has a lot of pork option apart from that nice place.

A fantastic place to enjoy food ,everything is freshly cooked EVEN on the everything you can eat menu ...£22 pp ..drinks are extra.

The food is so authentic. Filled our hungry tummies. Will definitely come back and try other dishes. x

Had the buffet and it didn't disappoint. You order from the buffet menu and your food is cooked to order so its alot fresher than a normal self service buffet. The food came out fast and was really good. I'll be coming back for some dim sum as the other reviews on here that rave about it.Service was really quick and very friendly.
