Lovely fish and chips with amazing service. Everything was cooked to perfection, and was absolutely delicious - would recommend the squid and halloumi! Portion sizes were very generous.

We’ve had fish n chips a few times from John Dory and they’ve been excellent each time. We drive from Barrow Upon Soar to pick them up after our online order and they’re always ready on time. The fish is always cooked well, the batter light and crispy. The chips are so nice not soggy like some other places, I love the mushy peas and tar tar sauce! Our daughter would eat there everyday, fish n chips are her favourite! Parking is a bit of a problem though if the small car park is full. We had to stop for a few minutes parked up the road.

Have been going to John Dory’s for a while, and they probably do fry the best fish and chips locally. They did an amazing job during lockdown etc keeping everyone fed and setting up a new way of working. Unfortunately now the price has been pushed up too far; almost £50 for 3 fish and chips and a couple of sides is fine for a restaurant, but not takeaway. I will be going elsewhere from now on.

Delicious fish and chips, I love that they’re served in a box.The ordering and collection system works super well and food was served fast despite them being busy.

Lovely fish and chips and worth paying a bit extra for. Very busy so it's a good idea to phone your order through to save queueing

Not good experiences unfortunately, gave it a third chance tonight and the fish was rotten and undercooked chips. At least the staff were polite and gave us a refund after we return the fish, will not be going again

Decent fish and chips. I had Hake which was a special and it was beautifully cooked. Chips I’ve had better.Thought it was slightly on the high side of costs - £11 for fish n chips. However, that’s only because you compare it to your local chippy and not to any other restaurant. Most things in the specials had sold Out. Would be good to see more seafood options.

Best fish and chips I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a lot! Miles better than anywhere I’ve been in London!! Decor was nice too, must have recently been done - great place to bring the family. Will be back as soon as I can 😋
