Kings Arms in Charnwood

We had to wait a LONG time for order to be taken and then the food - table booked at 12.30 and food arrived at 2.30, think I got my dessert at around 3pm! Quite late for lunch!! But have to say food was great when arrived, hot, tasty and generous portion sizes. Good pub grub, wouldn't say its "homecooked" in the true sense of the word but we all enjoyed our meals. All staff very friendly and helpful and despite the long wait I would still return.

Great that dogs are allowed in the pub.Had Sunday lunch beef little tough. Staff offered to change it but I declined as dog enjoyed it.I would recommend you price your mains accordingly...buy one get one free is not really on when your mains are near 20 pounds 😉Nice pub nice Staff. Would go again for drinks.

The place was clean and most of the staff were really friendly and helpful. A big shout out to Paige, so lovely and made it an even better experience.Food wise, we found it very pricey. The quality was higher than you'd expect for a 2 for 1, but still over priced. There was a slight issue with our bill, which we only noticed after we'd left however, once we got through, it was sorted quickly.

Brilliant Sunday roast once again, 2 big plates of roast beef for less than £20. Cant complain there.

Great friendly welcome, as soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile, once shown my table and ordered my food arrived promptly and was hot and fresh.Alicia and Sophie we're great they served me always with a smile and couldn't of done more to make me feel more welcome.All in all if I'm back in the area I will definitely be returning.Thank You King Arms for a great welcome and great food.

Excellent experience. Very friendly welcome, they made the kids smile. Food was great, no complaints really, maybe just the carrots being very undercooked, but that's being picky. Nice clean pub, good selection of food, the wait time wasn't long and the price wasn't bad at all. We will return :)

Sophie was such a great host today - A true asset to the business! It was quite refreshing to have a nice and happy waitress providing a service with a smile. Keep up the great work Sophie! Now for the food - in my opinion it's pretty decent for the price, well cooked and was piping hot. It's a shame that this will be my last visit to this pub but I wish you all the very best for the future!

Visited here couple of weeks ago with a friend for a spot of lunch and we wanted to try something different and not in our normal area and we came across this place. I've been in a few Marston's pubs before and not been impressed but today was very different. The place was clean , roomy and looked tidy. We was looked after a very pleasant women called Sophie who was very knowledgeable and efficient. Polite and on the ball. It was fairly busy but it looked like she was the only one on the floor and speaking with experience she was doing a fantastic job with a smile. The food was really good and if we had more time we would of stayed for a pudding but rest assured we will be returning with the wives , probably when the summer is here to take full advantage of the lovely setting. Highly recommend , has something for everyone and really top level for what you would call " pub food "

Sophie was our server. She was extremely polite and even laughed at my brother's awful jokes! She made good recommendations for the food. The food was great, everybody (5 adults/2 children) ate every last bit. I had sausage and mash, with extra gravy. The sausages were so good and the mash was perfect!

Always a good choice for food / drink, friendly all round, good price and good service! Included a pic of Sunday lunch aswell....
