Very nice grounds, good looking exterior and excellent parking. A good place for a wedding or business function. Good value for the price we paid. Corridors and windows are a bit dated. Breakfast was a disaster. The 2 serving staff were absolutely run ragged. Tables left uncleared, people were queuing for replacement fry up items, the coffee machine ran out of coffee and did not get fixed for 20 minutes. I took one croissant of the 3 left which was a mistake as once gone they were never replaced! This was a management issue, there were at least 100 people booked in for breakfast and inadequate resources allocated. When we left it was 7 deep at checkout, so do it in advance. I would stay again if attending a function and would not be having breakfast.

Such a lovely setting for a wedding. Lovely food, mostly great staff and nice rooms too. There's a tall guy in a waistcoat however, that really showed himself up. A young lad was behind the bar, asked if he was OK to serve, took my order, but then said tall guy came in. He demanded that he leave the bar in a very loud and rude tone in front of everyone. I'm not sure if he was on some sort of power trip, but it was embarrassing and uncomfortable for all involved. Going forward, it may be an idea to take staff to one side, away from guests before berating them! However, it thankfully didn't take the shine off the day and it was a wonderful place to celebrate

The Hotel itself is a nice rest stop in a decent location. Our room was clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable.Sadly our TV didn't work and the Toilet flush kept sticking on.We stayed there for a wedding recently and, whilst the day was nice, the Hotel could have made it much better.During the evening reception guests were often left waiting as nobody was on the bar and often the staff didn't seem to know what was going on.The biggest issue happened the morning of the wedding however. The wedding party from the night before who were extremely loud and aggressive the previous night decided to get violent in the Hotel, even smashing up some of the facilities. We were woken up in the morning by a group of women outside our room trying to kick the door in of the next room, shouting obscenities to the level we had to cover our 5 year old sons ears. It was genuinely scary and more like something from EastEnders or Caught on Camera than a relaxing start to a wedding day. They even punched the groom in the Dining room.Whilst this may not be the fault of the Hotel nothing was done to rectify the problem when we raised it.I understand someone was arrested eventually but my son was terrified by the actions of these people and no apology was made by the hotel staff. All in all this ruined what should have been a relaxing stay.

Whilst on the surface appears top class the service and bar prices fall somewhat short. The rooms are comfortable, but by no means luxurious. Whoever designed the bathrooms should reexamine them. The bathroom is enclosed by glass, which is is alternate layers of opaque and clear glass. In essence if you use the toilet you will be on view! Reported faults were not rectified during our stay.

Absolutely outstanding place to stay if you have a dog.I had a ground floor room which was large and equipped with all you could want.I opened the door outside and the dog could go out and the car was parked quite close. The gardens and grounds were fantastic to walk your dog and sit in.I loved the peace and quiet, no noisy kids or vehicles going past.Wonderful.I only had breakfast but it was really good, there was a wonderful array of produce for a breakfast for a particular eater.Well done everyone.I will be back.

Lovely setting for a celebration, well equipped comfy rooms and a broad menu to suit all tastes. Delicious puds! Landscaped attractive grounds and in a rural setting. Staff friendly and helpful.

Very friendly, helpful staff and service A++++Room was nice, though unsure about the glass partition for the bathroom as you lose your privacy instantly. The bed was our this world in comfort though!Breakfast was Very tasty A+++Unsure of some of the pictures in the corridors of the minors strike, they were quite distressing, something I'm not sure you want you recollect with whilst paying over £120 a night to take time out?!Lovely location

We had a surprise baby shower yesterday at the hotel for my sister. I would just like to say how amazing the food and room was! Also to the lovely lady on reception that helped with directing us to the room and also keeping everything a surprise! We all had a really amazing day and will definitely be returning again soon!Massive Thankyou to everyone involved in preparing and serving the food, it really was fab!

Where do I start! We booked a table in there restaurant, we received confirmation by email but nobody knew we were coming. There was broken glass in my meal, they did say sorry but that was it, didn't offer to replace the meal or anything. The phone doesn't work in the room. They advertise flat screen TVs in all rooms, when I informed them the TV wasn't working either I was informed that it's just how it is they don't work in all the rooms and there is nothing that they can do about it. We have booked breakfast but to be honest I'm dreading it. My advice is to find somewhere else to stay!

I would not stay here again. The room was very dated, cold and had various stains on the ceiling tiles! The one star is for a decent shower over the bath, ample parking and a reasonably friendly reception team.
