One of the places we will definitely come back to. We can't say anything negative after our last visit. A good place for a little break from everyday life. Tasty dishes prepared with class where everything really has the right flavor. Lots of space inside, in good weather in the garden and quite a lot of parking space.

Went here for a meal on a Friday night with my wife. We ordered the 'sticky Sharing platter and been rib. The starter was OK. But the bread was basically a cracker, and the chicken wings tasted Asif they has been standing and reheated/refried . The 3 prawns were also tiny inside batter.nThe kofta were pleasant but not at all worth £18 probably £3-4 worth of food. Then we both had the beef rib, which was about hr shy of being cooked to be tender, so a little tough. We had to ask for steak knives (mad for slow cooked meat) and the veg was inedible, with a wedge of cabbage raw and just charred (looked pretty but pointless)... With the outer layer the only part that was close to tender/ consumable. The food looks nice enough, but tasted bland , overpriced and poorly cooked. The chef cleary was not too bothered with what he served. The service was pretty poor too. Shame as we went here previously but it's gone be downhill. I d ok not mind increased prices, but the quality should not drop.Never great when you pay £70 for a meal you could have cooked far better yourself. Give it a miss.we skipped puddings as nothing else was good.Visited 10th June 2022 Friday evening

This was my first time having lunch with friends after my last dinner here 3 years ago. I've noticed there were few changes and tweaks they've done. The bar I think was redone and looks lovely and exceptional. The garden seating area was gorgeous. Staff are friendly. But the most important bit of my visit was my order meal. It was a triple treat special meal that day. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The chicken was succulent, the beef was tender and potatoes, carrots, parsnips were superbly cooked well. I've also noticed that they changed the logo picture of the Fox 🦊 which is really modern design.

Service was good, however food was disappointing. They did not have any chicken left which was a shame (this happened before also). Also, when the meals did come out the vegetarian options were very poor, the fish was very dry and over cooked (fish and chips) and the beef roast dinner was very small. Only two small and thin slices of roast beef. I asked for more and then more was sent out which at least was a positive. Overall, the food was poor and was just warm (not hot), but the service was fine.

I always enjoy my visits here. The food is good value and there is plenty of choice, and there is always a good atmosphere. The staff are consistently excellent - welcoming, friendly and efficient. The only downside this time was the lack of good-quality real ale - the Taylor's Landlord was not available, leaving only Doom Bar, which is very bland, and the Sharp's Atlantic, which I had assumed would be real ale, was in fact keg and exceptionally expensive (£5.50 a pint.)

Popped in for a few drinks at lunchtime. Lovely atmosphere with some people dining and others having a leisurely drink. The place is looking great after its refurb! The coffee was absolutely superb, brought to me by Lucas who was most charming and attentive. Couldn't fault the experience.

Went out for dinner and drinks here and had a lovely time! The drinks and food came quickly and we’re of high quality. Had the lemon thyme prawn skewers and my date had the halloumi skewers. We both really enjoyed our meals were satisfied with the choices of beer on tap as well. The wait staff were very lovely and attentive. We had Lucas as our server and he was super friendly. Would absolutely return to this restaurant and request Lucas as my server again. Lovely time overall!

Fascinating place with amazing members of staff, I was stunned at how delightful the food was, especially the chicken bacon and brie pie. All the contents were inside the pastry which I very much enjoyed. I would like to commend Lucas, one of the members of staff. He provided phenomenal service by presenting himself in a very courteous manner and solved my limited queries that have appeared. I hope whoever attends this place asks for Lucas to provide service.5 star, will be returning frequently.
