Seating area if you want to dine in, quick to set up table, place order in chip shop and it's served to your table.Good menu, fresh good size fish, chips perfectly done.Nearby free parking. Male & female toilets in chip shop, competitive price for decent portion of fish n chips.

We ate at Rothley Fisheries and what a total disappointment. Everything we loved about the place is gone. Still blaming covid, we were told they have only just restarted using real knives and forks... Well, count ourselves lucky then. Such a shame, now its just a takeaway with seats. I ordered regular chips my husband small, I was given a small disposable plate with chips that wouldn't have even filled a cone, yet my husband had a large throwaway plate full of chips with his fish on top. After talking it up so much to the birthday girl we took there, we were embarrassed. Not going back.

Beautifully cooked chips, great fish, crispy batter which happens to be gluten free, a necessity for me as a coeliac, a bonus for anyone else as gluten free batter is far superior. Great menu. A must visit if passing, even worth a run out.

The service and quality of food was excellent. On the way home we phoned through our order and it was ready at the time specified. We had Grandma with us and across the 3 generations we all agreed that the fish & chips/scampi were delicious and we very much enjoyed our dinner. Thank you

Amazing fish and chips! Cannot praise enough. Peoples ignorance to the current price hikes in the market is absurd. Fresh fish prices are closed to being on par with fillet steak! It is becoming a luxury treat but I believe you get what you pay for. The industry as a whole is under crisis and in survival mode at the moment. These ridiculous reviews are uncalled for. A local gem in my opinion.

This was our 4th visit to the restaurant and sadly wasn't no where near as good as the other 3. Mainly down to the covid measures in place that seemed a little strange in places. The food was hot, tasty and good value for money. The restaurant was clean and tidy with Internet access should you want it. Just the overall feel wasn't as good as it was before... no complimentary bread and butter, gherkins or cup of tea. No ordering at your table, now having to queue in the take away chip shop and then return to your table for it to arrive. Due to this experience I sadly think this will be our last visit

Was good once. Now 9 times out of 10 the chips are soggy and undercooked, and the fish is caked in undercooked batter. Prices just went up again, so now £10 for cod and chips. Absolutely not worth it. Go to John Dory's in Quorn for far better quality.

Great fish and tasty scampi! The staff are all amazing! Definitely will be returning, would give 6 stars if I could!

Chips were cold, undercooked, my battered sausage I ordered was cremated and the batter tasted months old, certainly will not be going back! The price!!! Make sure you remortgage your home…They should be all be locked away for life for serving food like that and the owner!! Serving slop like that and the price he deserves nothing less than the death penalty!!

Weren't quite sure what to expect, but we were not disappointed. Pleased they mentioned when we booked the table (not that we needed to as it wasn't busy for a Thursday night) that they would be providing plastic knives and forks. We therefore took our own mental ones. Prices very reasonable. Tables well spaced out and we had the pleasure of sitting next to the TV screen which had the sea lapping in and out! Would definitely recommend 👍
