Royal Oak in Charnwood

Comfortable clean spacious room with some nice little extras like bottled water and a warm welcome by the manager. Food in the pub is excellent and very well presented. There is a good selection of cooked breakfast on offer served quickly and of a very high standard. The pub is in a very good location, close to the M1.

Wonderful evening, lovely food and good service. The chicken was delicious, well presented and very tasty. The roasted butternut squash and goats cheese was a lovely contrast. Pudding was very filling but divine. Highly recommend. Great food and service.

What a lovely place to stay!! Beautiful comfy warm clean rooms, fantastic food too. Lovely friendly, helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

Just excellent.The staff are really friendly and polite, they were very accommodating of some additional requirements I had.Very conscientious too, initially I booked 5 nights, then booked an additional 2 before I had checked in, and they were thoughtful enough to give me the same room for my whole stay and give me a bigger room than the one I booked because I was staying for a prolonged period.I had some evening meals in the restaurant and breakfast each morning and the food is also excellent. The quality is superb and all the food was very tasty and fairly priced.I highly recommend The Royal Oak and hope I can return soon.

Myself and my Girlfriend visited the Royal Oak for the Friday Date Night for my birthday. Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The food was fantastic and the room was lovely. Have recommended to several friends. Will definitely visit again.

What a wonderful night! We were gifted to the date night and it's SUCH a treat! Even though we live down the road, we could have been anywhere. The rooms are beautiful and absolutely spotless.The staff were so friendly, but the food really does make this place. Absolutely faultless, fresh, delicious and expertly presented. I can't recommend here enough

Have stayed here on a few occasions, most recently for a short Christmas break, and we have always been very happy. The rooms are very comfortable, the pub is great for an evening drink and the breakfast delicious and served with a smile.

Excellent food in a convenient location. The menu changes every 3 months with some great choices for vegans and coeliacs. There is a great range of drinks available. Lots of gin varieties to try. Rooms are available at the rear but I've never used those.

We had a lovely stay at the Royal Oak. The room was excellent and very comfortable. The meals were lovely and the service very good. Would recommend it to anyone

Exceptional service from check in, right through to checkout and high quality included breakfast!The room was incredibly clean and comfortable with great amenities available. The beds were very comfortable, with extra pillows available. The room came equip with an iron, fan, fridge and tea / coffee station if required.Parking was great when you get parked right outside the room your staying in which I believe are intended for guests staying there, meaning you don’t get car headlights through the windows. However a shame that customers arriving just for the restaurant, would often occupy these spaces. Numbering them or adding signs might help prevent this in the future possibly, but I also could be wrong and maybe any space is for anyone?The stay overall was very relaxing and would definitely be a first choice when visiting the area again in the future! Thank you for the hospitality and look forward to returning again!
