Sileby Fish Bar in Charnwood

Gone a bit Pete Tong recently been going here for years but recently the amount of meat on the kebabs has got less and less to the extent that you feel you’ve been ripped off, I know things are costing more but for £8 you should expect a good fill.Sorry but your tightness has lost you a customer.

Had the cod and chips for £12 between two of us and was absolutely amazing! Decent portion size both left full and couldn’t fault the meal at all, the cod tasted insane and chips were piping hot delivery time was spot on aswell definitely recommend best fish and chips in sileby and the surrounding villages

If I could give Sileby fish bar a 0 I 100% would. Ordered on uber eats, i was told delivery would be 25 mins tops... food didn't arrive for an hour n half. Food was cold. Paid just under £5 for this disgrace of a burger. Literally bread, onions, meat, sauce and bread all thrown together! Mcdonalds present their burgers better for god sake! I called their landline and all I got was we are busy. Honestly do not go to Sileby fish bar, waste of your hard earned money.

If I had option I'd rate no stars , been coming for agas , last 2 times where disappointing , food poisoning from the naan cabab, and this time a screw in my sons burger NOT HAPPY !! , going to be taking this further not acceptable

By far the worst Chip shop I've been to ever, chips were greasy big and soft , sausage was made of breadcrumbs, curry sauce and mushy peas were watery with hard peas, nan bread kebab was small and had nearly no salad and the roe had no batter on it after unwrapping it. What a mistake to try somewhere else.

The chips looked like they had been cut with a hammer and chisel and tasted like damp cardboard, the burger was barely acceptable and I could have walked 2 and a half miles there and back in the time it took them to deliver it. I only got halfway through before I could not bear to eat any more. It looked bad, tasted bad and now I feel bad. Now excuse me whilst I go throw up into the toilet for the next 20 minutes

Don’t even bother with delivery.Ordered nice and early to miss the Tuesday night ‘rush’ submitted the order at 16:40 and the food was eventually delivered at 18:30I am not exaggerating, nearly two hours to get fish and chips delivered in the village. Absolute shocker.I rang 3 times to chase and I was told it was next on each occasion. With hindsight I should have cancelled.The food was okay, but it was never going tobe worth the wait I’m afraid.

Worst fish & chips I think I have ever had.Chips: weird size and shape, poorly cooked, inside texture too dry and outside not crisp. Whatever they oil they use is not good.Cod: rubbish bit of fish, poor fiish:batter ratio, batter wasn't nice either.Battered sausage: gristly meat and same batter problem.Chicken nuggets: more nugget than chicken, very dry.Chicken shish in naan: naan was okay, chicken was okay but a bit dry, salad was in a separate tub (why?) and barely gave any sauce.Curry sauce: really poor.Didn't bother to finish it, it was that bad.Will not order from here again.

It took 2 hours to deliver via Just Eat. Appalling. Turned up luke warm with a whole meal missing (mixed grill) and chips on the 'fish and chips' missing. Oh yeah and a refund for the mixed grill in cash - could easily have told us during the massive 2 hours wait time, giving us the chance to order another meal elsewhere!!Contacted them and then drove down to up the stuff missed out - didn't trust how long it might take to deliver some chips (defeats the object of getting a delivery). And they charged for it - we paid for the inconvenience. How nice.First time we didn't use Bobbos. Bad mistake. Simple message. - USE BOBBOS.I SAY IT AGAIN. Why put up with substandard when you could just have 'normal'. 🙏 Oh the power of a bad review ...Oh yeah, there's a stone in my mushy peas. Yum. Picture attached.

Chips undercooked seemed as if they have been boiled in oil not fried. Fish soft soggy batter.Not open when it says .Try pie next time but no chips.
