The Basin in Charnwood

Received a warm welcome for our first time here, having booked a table for two based on recommendations.Each table is separated by a divider, so those that are still worried about breathing the same air or particulates in a restaurant as other patrons, don't be worried as they will save you, I'm sure.The food was delivered super fast, so The Basin must have a huge number of kitchen staff working very hard to satisfy the needs of the customers, especially as it was late on a busy Friday evening with customers still walking in through the door as we were seated.Delicious doesn't do the food justice! It was amazing, full of flavours and colour, regardless of the dish we ordered!Watch out for the vegetable spring rolls however as the temperature of them were too hot to eat for a while! Very tasty with or without the sweet chilli dip :-)We'll be back soon to order more lovely things from the extensive menu!

Didn't have a record of our rearranged table but did take the deposit, they did manage to find us one after half an hour wait. However service was very slow, 45 mins for starter, then they missed one order. Long wait to order and then receive drinks and food was only average. Shame as used to be a good restaurant but wouldn't recommend.

Absolutely fabulous food no complaints at all... Makes it worth the wait in it arriving! We did go at 8 on a Saturday evening. Would definately recommend it!

Miss this place so much, used to be here day-in-day-out literally. Prawn Yaki Udon’s wonderful, pad Thai too although I did feel the quality was slyly dropping. Sesame prawn on toast is a big no from me, is and looks incredibly fatty and is just filled with garbage no proper ingredients.

Thanks for such a great gluten free menu x. They were also quickly able to point out which items weren't safe for me and why. Very reassuring xMy only issue is the teriyaki is very very watery, so a little bland. The sushi and puddings we ordered were lovely though

We booked a table here on recommendation from our daughter who really rates this place. We made a booking at 5.00 pm and was surprised at how busy the restaurant was at that time! We were seated almost straight away and the waitress was polite but friendly. Once we had decided what we were having our order was taken and we didn't have to wait long before we were served. We chose to have a small selection of small bowls rather than two mains. They looked and smelled delicious and upon tasting we weren't disappointed. The prawn toast is to die for! Everything was hot and tasty, and can assure you there were no leftovers!We shall return, sooner,rather than later.

Not a bad option for Asian food. The black pepper beef udon is a must have. Sushi is average.

Probably my favourite place to eat!! The food (no matter what you order) seems to be utterly flavoursome and delicious. The staff were so friendly and helpful - service with a smile every time.I 100% recommend trying the custard filled dim sum. I'd never tried them before and they were divine!Looking forward to my next meal here

I love it! I live nearly 2 hours away and I never bat an eyelid when the wife wants some sushi.Service is good and the price reflects the quality.Great for a night out with a group or just you and your loved one. Well worth the journey.Parking is literally across the road in the outlet car park and is relatively cheap too!

Absolutely delicious as ever! Such a lovely menu, though I'm not a fan of the mains so have a selection of sushi, which turns out really expensive! 😫 So good though
