The Black Swan in Charnwood

We went for a family sale to this lovely pub. We booked at the last minute and they fit us in. The food was absolutely delicious - freshly prepared and hot. We all had a main meal and cleared our plates. The chips looked particularly gorgeous so if you’re a chip fan, I would highly recommend.There is an option to sit outside at the back of the pub where the view is just stunning.

Nice decor, great staff and a nice menu but..Q). Is there any cream in the mashed potatoes?A) I will ask the kitchen to check the packaging.That said the food was nice and we would definitely go back.

Excellent food and drink, beautiful setting and dinning room. Nothing was to much trouble for jo and the waiting staff. Really enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely return. Couldnt recommend enough. 5 stars just isn't enough to do the black Swan justice

The Black Swan is well worth a visit the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The pub is nice and warm and has plenty of seating area. The meal was outstanding we will definitely be going back

Lovely country pub. Quick responses to my enquiries and easy to book a table. Great doorstop sandwiches, (only needed 1 between 2,) and home cooked chips. Lovely open fire to sit by on such a cold day. Very enjoyable stop on our 7 mile walk.

We have been twice now and were very impressed with the quality of the service and the food on both occasions. We last went on New Year's Eve and had a lovely evening. Can't wait to go back there.

All my experience’s and expectations today at the Swan excelled. They even did all 4 dogs a mini roast. And the most perfect beef and mash I have ever tasted!!! Well worth a visit - they hun also welcome wind swept hair, muddy boots / coats and dirty dogs. The perfect stop after a walk with the boys X

First class food service and venue we both loved it returning from Derby and further afield we stopped here for lunch the Hake in butter and lemon sauce was divine very lemony and beautiful consistency the hake was moist and fresh we both had the same and a pudding which was divine with coffee. Exellent wine list on reading and the menu was different too well presented food resteraunt and nothing too much trouble a lovely afternoon relaxing before going elsewhere we both recomend a "" flagship of good customer service ""

Great pub/restaurant with its accent on quality food. Known as the 'Mucky Duck' to those who know it From the outside area there are stunning views of the Ecclesbourne valley. Booking recommended as it's popular with locals and tourists alike. M

We had never been before.. But we decide to have the Sunday lunch set menu! It was very tasteful and good portions.. such a lovely place to experience!! The staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is very welcoming. The place is just all round beautiful! Would highly recommend to go and visit.
