Such a welcoming place. Lovely Staff. Always accommodating. Amazing atmosphere. Food very good. The breakfasts are fantastic.The Gate Hangs Well also provides live music on occasions. I would highly recommend The Gate Hangs Well. You will not be disappointed.

What a different experience, village pub with corner shop and cafe all rolled into one venue. Really nice interior decor with seperate areas for pub and cafe. Recommend the fish finger sandwich with a side bucket of chips.

I visited here a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday and whilst the menu isn't huge, the food was beautiful and the portions were good. A delicious Sunday roast and the waitresses were very friendly and nice. Will definitely come back.

Great place for cyclists. Loads of space and it's really warm and friendly. Serving a veg option for breakfast would make it even better. Beans on toast would be great. Thank you

We visited whilst on holiday today and it was perfect. The staff were lovely, the setting is beautiful and relaxing. The Sunday lunch I had was outstanding and the children's meals were just right, so glad we visited I wish we lived closer!

Cycled there with my wife today, service was outstanding. The lady on the bar was so friendly, offered to help me to the table with our drinks and snacks & took the time to talk to us. Outstanding service - we will be back next week! Haven't tried the food but hope to in the near future

What a lovely little place - well worth our walk. The staff were fab and the food was delicious. Definitely on our list to return again. The chicken burger was immense!

Visited for the first time since covid and what a place! Lovely atmosphere, all the staff seemed to really enjoy their job and it showed. The manager greeted us at the bar and what a great asset to the pub she is, friendly, bubbly and clearly enjoyed her job. Well done team gate! See you again soon :)

The food was outstanding. Everything about it was brilliant. I was talking to a young lady and she said the manager had stepped into the kitchen while you awaited your new chef... honestly i would of thought a trained chef had made our food it looked great. An absolute credit to you and the pub. We will return again very soon. Looking forward to it.
