Fantastic food, all 5 of us had a different meal and nobody was disappointed. Service was brilliant too. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be going back very soon.

Went here for lunch which was very quiet. The food was okish. Was approached by a member of staff who was rude and un professional.Dont think we will be going here again. Which is a shame in the past it has been good.

Really nice and welcoming country pub. We had a Sunday roast. The portions were a good size and the meat was very nice. The only down side for me was the mashed veggies had extra herbs in which I didn’t like.

Had Mother’s Day lunch which was a set 3 course menu. All dishes were tasty and delicious. Staff were ok but a little dry and not that cheerful. Place was very busy and food came on time. Tables too close together with barely enough room to move but it’s a pub so that’s what is expected.

Popped in for lunch on a weekday. Service was nice. We ordered starters and mains. I ordered the chicken and asked that no black pepper be on my food. The waitress came back to say the chicken comes with pre seasoned butter... after a back and forth conversation I asked if the chef could just make a fresh sauce without the pepper... it was only a lemon and garlic butter sauce.Starters were really good, calamari and prawn cocktail. As the waitress cleared our plates I asked if we could have a little break but was told our mains were already nearly cooked as was started when they bought the starters out! Who wants their mains straight after the starters. Anyway we did get a little break. Chicken sauce just tasted like lemon... would definitely not order again. Partner had steak , mushroom and ale pie... said it was OK but really tomatoey? Strange as was in ale.The Chips and salad on mine were really good but the sauce ruined the chicken. We got told a few times they closed at 3 so didn't get chance to sample desserts as by the time we finished our mains it was 3.04. Would I go again... maybe but would order something else.

Nothing special, a standard country pub serving food. The service was adequate, but certainly not fast, the food was average. The Gammon was much better than the fish which was over cooked as you can see from photo. The sizes were good but we were a bit disappointed with the quality.

Best Pub food had in a long time. Excellent food. Plenty of menu choices. Excellent Service. Friendly staff. Would recommend a visit.

Staff were friendly and attentive, and it was spacious inside with a nice atmosphere and photos of the pub's long history. The food was very good - tasty and fresh - with choices of pasta, pizza, and burgers although the menu was a bit limited for vegetarians (there were about 4 different dishes but three of them contained falafels). Perhaps this is due to current restrictions. We will definitely go back and try it again!

Excellent meal and a great pint booked for lunch time meal.Friendly service and a very nice pub

Tasty sunday roast, enjoyed in house again. good variety of vegetables, gravy is beautiful. Wasnt very busy when we visited, staff attentive and food brought out quickly. We have ordered a few takeaway sunday roasts during lockdown and always enjoyed them, and people still seem to be enjoying this method still as alot where collected when we were there. Would recommend
