Booked a sunday roast 2 weeks in advance to be seated in the bar area, we were the only table to be eating in there. Being detached from the main restaurant meant that we were forgotten about to the point where the desserts we had asked about were now unavailable, it had taken them that long to come and take the order. The food we has was just "ok" nothing special, plain boiled veg, a couple of partially burnt roast potatoes and an extremely crsipy yorkshire pudding, beef was tender and reasonably tasty (the only good bit)All at a premium price but definately not a premium service!!Would we visit here again? No absolutely not, there are better "family run" pubs in the area who are not ran like a chain.

Only popped in as we were visiting the Deli, bit were greeted with a warm welcome. Ended up having a cheeky pint and a bite to eat. All of which were yummy. We'll definitely be back for a proper meal soon. 👍🏻

£17.50 for one course of extremely mediocre Sunday lunch. £20 if you have the beef. One huge Yorkshire, burnt to a crisp except for a butter-soaked soggy base, a mix of roasted/boiled veg, a tiny bit of stuffing, and a couple of measly slices of tasteless, gristly beef. The profit margin per meal must be sky high. Rubbish and food left lying around for the entire length of our meal. Nice place/area, but run like a cheap chain pub.

Lovely atmosphere, good food _ only one criticism - pork belly beautifully tender but far too much salt on crackling, lots of water needed!

I love this pub it has a great ambiance, food is always really nice and portion size is great also. Service is always very good. This pub is really nice in the spring summer with its conservatory

Lovely pub, great team, very friendly. Booked Sunday lunch for the first time, visiting for food. Had heard fantastic reports about the food. We both had starters that were fantastic. Pub was busy when we went, however we were forgotten about for nearly 40 minutes for our mains. The team was very apologetic, just ruined what should have been a relaxing Sunday lunch. The meals around us looked fantastic, just a pity we couldn't sample the food.

Good village pub with a modest bar area. Cozy, traditional food and reasonable selection of beers, gin etc. Great outside covered area after a walk with the dog you can see out under patio heaters and enjoy your favourite tipple without worrying about the rain or the lack of tables inside.

It is a beautiful place, food was served quickly, portions were large and it was very tasty, customer service was A*, waiters/waiteresses are very polite and attentive.Plenty of tables available inside and outside, and all tables are cleaned and sanitised after people leave to make it ready for next customers. They serve a good and tasty selection of warm drinks, e.g. hot chocolate, cappuccino, latte, mocha.

The place is old and traditional, with a nice atmosphere.Good inside and outside seating available. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was really nice with a good selection on the menu. They have a good drink selection although a few more ales might be nice.I'd go again.
