Called in at the manor today (Easter sunday) for a drink but was soon tempted to have lunch there after seeing all the great looking food coming out of the kitchen, obviously very busy we caught the attention of a waitress called Emma who couldn't do enough for us, the food and service was great thanks Emma.

Always amazing. Not once has this place disappointed. Food is always fresh and vibrant. The atmosphere is great and the service cannot be faulted. Strongly recommended.I do suggest booking ahead or calling before going, as the place can get busy.

Had a wonderful weekend break at the Manor House. The rooms were a good size, well thought out and clean. All the usual extras were included. The staff at the Manor were friendly and well informed and made us feel very welcome. The food was to an excellent standard. We will be staying here again in the future.

Came to The Manor for Sunday lunch. The food was great, no complaints about the main. The chocolate brownie and sticky toffee pudding were beautiful too. The great food and experience at The Manor was made better by our waitress Emma who couldn’t do enough for us.

Dog review. The previous comments on our family business about being dog unfriendly reflect the thoughts from a person who kept their dog in our premises under stress. The poor animal barked consistently when we were very busy on a Sunday afternoon.Other dogs were in the building and remained under control and not under stress. In regard to this customer's dog other customers throughout the building were both concerned and complained. We asked the customer on numerous times to take the poor clearly distressed, animal outside. The owners chose to keep their dog barking in a busy, dog friendly and accommodating pub.the poor thing was clearly distressed. It appears the customer decided their rights on eating with a pet were more important than others concerns, and those of their "pet". In their own words via their review they made their own choice to stay and keep their pet in distress. Then they complain about our attirude on our fears for their dog. We can do no more than say we asked them to take the dog outside to relax. These requests were refused. We accept dogs with well behaved and courteous customers. The last two years have been very hard and the majority of guests have understood this.We will review our dog friendly policy in one month following the obvious comments on our response. We hope to remain dog friendly. We are not the Ritz. But we care about pets and all of our customers in union. Thank you.

We had the nut roast (well seasoned, great texture and a decent portion) and a chicken Sunday roast. Honeyed pigs and parsnips was also really tasty. Highly recommend and look forward to going again some time.

Visited the Manor last night and was throughly disappointed. Went for the fish and chips and my partner went for the sirloin. Fish and chips were greasy, and the sirloin was lukewarm. Onion rings were also inedible due to grease. Was served by 5 different waitresses, 1 of which took our food to a different table and left it for a few minutes (hence the cold steak). One of the waitresses did offer a free desert but felt like I couldn’t eat it as was put off by the mains. To top it off, was overcharged by £2.Overall, definitely won’t be coming back nor will I be recommending. An extremely generous 2 stars as one of the waitresses seems to be carrying to restaurant. Woeful.

Busy Friday evening so I recommend booking a table in advance. Lovely atmosphere. The Christmas party menu was delicious and the whole team were extremely friendly and just couldn't do enough for us. We will be back, thank you!

Had a light bite and it was big enough to be classed as a main meal. It was the best meal I have had in a very long time. The flavours in the omelette were an explosion on your tongue. The staff were lovely with the right combination of friendly and professional. I have taken photos of the menus and will show them to my family who I hope would like to visit after we have seen Santa on the train.
