This is the first time I have visited The Packe Arms and it won't be the last!We had a table of 14, were able to pre order our food, and had our own assigned area. The menu has so many choices and everyone said how hot, fresh and delicious their meal was! This was very impressive for a large group booking. There was also a varied pudding and drinks menu. I recommend the sticky toffee pudding, this was so good!!The staff were very accommodating, welcoming and friendly. They made the evening very enjoyable for us all.

Sadly very disappointed, waited an hour for a meal which had been cooked from the freezer, chicken & chips (ordered hunters chicken). No chicken to it, more like breadcrumbs. Literally a dry piece of chicken and a handful of chips (thatās it). Afraid itās the worst meal Iāve ever had and terrible value for money (Ā£13.75) no food had been eaten off the plate when this picture was taken.. thatās it! (Kids chicken & chips down the road at the rancliffe arms is double the size and comes with fresh veg and more than half this price).Thank goodness Iād eaten a starter which wasnāt much better or Iād still be hungry. King prawn cocktail, more like frozen prawns in mayo! Will not be returning and used to love this place.

Ā£13.25 for the vegan roast. Four tiny potatoes. If youāre vegan⦠donāt bother. We will not be visiting again.

The Packe Arms in Hoton is a lovely setting with plenty of car parking dinner was beautifully presented & served exceptionally quickly but it became obvious that the speed of service was because the food plates & gravy were all served at room temperature which was a great shame because the food looked fantastic and the roast parsnips were delicious! We just couldnāt enjoy it because of a basic error. Keep gravy on the boil and heat the plates š I didnāt want to moan because it was a birthday meal for parents

The meal I had was good however I did not appreciate a jar of Stokes classic mustard being placed on the table with a desert spoon placed in it and the menu appeared limited with the only fish dish not available.

A charming place in the countryside with spectacularly good food at a very reasonable price. Delicious and very generous portions of Fish & Chips. And what about the desserts? Delicious cheesecake and brownie with whisky ice cream. Highly recommended.

We had a beautiful Sunday lunch here, and were looked after really well by Leona. The food was hot, and enough of it, and the gravy is on tap! Highly recommend, but the place gets busy so would need to book a table I feel.
