The Windmill Inn in Charnwood

Not only is this a gorgeous little pub with delicious food and drink, but the staff are absolutely wonderful. So friendly, considerate and welcoming - will definitely visit again!

Had a birthday celebration booked here and we got a phone call one hour before the booking saying they won’t be able to open up. No compensation offered. Left us very disappointed and not wanting to return.

I ordered the hot roast ciabatta with sides for lunch. It was extremely tasty the beef being tender and cooked as described. Being the curious type I made discreet glances at other dinners food. Everything looked fresh and well presented.The people next to me told me they had enjoyed their mealsI will dine at The Windmill again when I am in the area.The service was efficient and value fair for the quality.

Lived in the area for a long time and only came across The Windmill Inn a week ago. Really nice place, so much better than the chain pubs now all over the place. Warm environment, friendly staff and very nice food. Had a three-course meal and couldn’t fault it. Everything seemed home-made and was very tasty.Only cheeky mention would be a request to add two scoops of ice cream instead of one to the double chocolate cookie desert as gets a bit dry when the single scoop runs out.Great place, thoroughly recommend eating here.

Christmas roast was excellent. Steak (sirloin) was really good, but had better elsewhere for less £. Steak night is a good option, especially if you want to share a bottle of wine but I believe the wine deal is limited to Rump only.Really enjoyed the visit and the meal. The bill came to about £70 for a steak, Christmas roast, two desserts, two pints and two soft drinks, so it's on the pricier end of pub meals, but you do get quality food for that price so it's worth it.

The service is always friendly and the food is second to none. Great value and even better taste. I had ordered from the party menu along with some friends of mine and really there was too much to eat. I will definitely be going back next Xmas xx

Lovely place, wouldn't have known it was there but a diamond find. Lovely menu, lovely atmosphere, great, helpful staff. Suits family, friends & well take me on a date & I'd be happy here!!

We had booked a table for 7 on a Saturday lunchtime. The staff were friendly, attentive and we were given a big table. Great service and superb food. It’s great to find a pub that doesn’t rush you, and reasonably priced. We really enjoyed our visit.Only 4 stars as the vegetarian options were awful. The only option was Jackfruit or a cheese sandwich. Please can you offer more vegetarian options.

A fantastic place to eat - food was superb and waiting staff friendly and efficient- will definitely go back- made to feel welcome and unrushed- the Eton Mess is to die for - cannot fault it.
