Wheatsheaf Inn in Charnwood

Recommended by Linda at Horseshoe Cottage Farm and we are very glad that we took her up on her recommendation. Our meals were outstanding and puddings were delicious. Coupled with friendly staff and good ale and wine it was all in all a brilliant meal.

Sat outside for a drink and food with friends. Great service and served with a smile. Everyone had a different food choice with a few "tweeks" but nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely visit again very soon.

Amazing staff and nice pub inside and out . I ordered a burger and it was truly disappointing. You'd get a better burger at Wetherspoons and so much cheaper. For £14 I'd expect something half decent and my burger was just sad.The Sunday roast was much better. Don't expect roast potatoes though with your meat roast. It comes with mash instead.

Nice food, dog friendly. Good choice of draught beer. Ample parking round the back. Staff very friendly & helpful.

Vicky and her team are really helpful, even when making last minute bookings. There is a friendly atmosphere with well-trained, courteous and knowledgeable team members. The food is amazing with regularly refreshed specials. Sunday lunches are delicious with generous servings of seasonal vegetables, served on the side

We have been for lunch today Saturday 8th January 2022. It’s was fantastic, friendly family run atmosphere, the food was brilliant too. Wishing you all a much better year you deserve it. Well done

Had a lovely catch up with an old friend here. Its so beautiful. From the moment you drive through the archway to the car park (which is large), to the gorgeous olde worldie bar. Staff were very polite and attentive. Food was divine! Had the Smokies speciality and would go back just to have that again. DELICIOUS! Only problem was i had no room for a dessert 🤣 and the dessert menu looked gorgeous too! Definitely worth a visit if you are around and about the Loughborough area.

Beautifully crafted food. A very classy country pub. Drinks were cheaper than expected and the Christmas dinner was something special. I can see why this place is so popular!

Had the lamb pie, jacket potato and fish and chips. The lamb pie was full of meat, veggies and flavours. Great dish for a winter lunch. I would highly recommend this place -- especially because of the Christmassy decor
