Really thought this place was going somewhere after Elaine took charge. However after booking a table for last night we called to let them know our taxi was running 5 minutes late, the manager Mike told us not to bother. He was closing the kitchen and we wouldn't be welcomed. This was at 7:20pm, not even late. He really has no idea of hospitality and will run that place in to the ground. That man has undone everything his good wife has done to turn the place around. What a Joker.

A hidden gem for us non locals. Saturday lunch very busy but found us a table for 4. Ate of the 2 for £14 menu lots of choice and well proportioned meals. Excellent food brilliant staff.

I’ve been here a number of times and have always enjoyed the meals and raved about them .. especially the home made chips !Last week I went with a friend who uses a wheelchair so I phoned to see if access was available which was told yes it was .My friend ordered his meal of mushroom and Stilton which came as basically mushrooms on toast and chips which was NOT home cooked .I ordered fish and chips which were also NOT home cooked chips which was disappointing.My friend needed the toilet but I couldn’t find any so asked where they were and to put shock they DID NOT have any !It would’ve been helpful if on the phone they advised they did have access but did not have toilets !

Very nice cosy pub with numerous clocks chiming around the room the servers are very pleasent and chaty the food was good sizes I had rump steak which was excellent and at a good price all together a very nice expérience well worth 5 stars
