Called in for early breakfast. Nice and clean with friendly staff. Food was nice and hot. Asked for well done bacon butty ,no problem.

·

Amazing place for a breakfast, shame it's a little small, and at this moment in time, there is no respect for others, no distancing going off in this cafe, such a shame really, but if not minded, then definitely go check this place out.

This was my 1st visit to dine in at Crossroads Cafe .It does have a very small parking area outside the premises & limited roadside space aswell.Theres around 8 colourful wooden picnic style benches outside for when the weather allows outside dining, includes a framed structure possibly used to hold some kind of undercover canopy .Inside this popular Cafe,it was very busy with a good majority of the tables already being occupied. My works party of 5 did manage to find a good size table which we found are fix bolted to the floor& too much of a squeeze for all of us so I found another small table for myself. Theres a good menu choice & Orders are placed at the counter, where payments were taken by cash,( as Card option wasn't available during my visit due to server problems). The staff service was very welcoming & pleasant .I could see that everyone on duty was very busy.,You return to your table with any drinks & your meal is then brought out to the table .I really enjoyed my roast beef xmas dinner & thought it was good value for the money, alot nicer than i expected. The only problem I found was the lack of face mask coverings not being worn by customers entering the building, nobody using the hand sanitiser on the wall near the door during these troubled times of covid .When a bit of queue started forming into the middle of the room from the counter.I felt it was very disrespectful for those sat down eating when folk are stood close by .Just give some thought to those around you &wear a mask until your sat down or have left the building .don't spoil the occasion for others,.show some common sense please.

Absolutely love this cafe, looks lovely after a re- fit too. That said, the decor is irrelevant, because the food is delicious! Good home cooking, well presented, tasty and so reasonably priced. Lovely bunch of ladies too, just like going round to your mum's for a decent meal.

I'm not one for wasting my time, i would never encourage anyone else to waste theirs either. life is precious and every single second is important. if you happen to catch yourself driving by in the middle of the day, it's worth stopping in and having some food. for one reason and one reason alone. Everything crossroads cafe is, is exaclty what you DO NOT want in a cafe. The staff are rude beyond belief and the food cooked is even ruder. On one fine day i ordered myself a chip butty and was delighted to find my cobs green with mold. the chips surpringly actually tasted ok. The last point id like to make is the parking situation, can never find anywhere to park outside of the cafe, I can imagine this acts as a huge deterrent for anyone who would like to come and eat here. If it wasnt for the lovely lads down at champion hire , i wouldnt have been able to park up to be served such a hideous meal. So thank you to them for their excellent service. if only their counterparts across the road could follow suit. 1 star.
