Fanshawe's at the Sandpiper Hotel in Chesterfield

It’s very Clean and nicely put together, Great Service From the staff and really nice food!

Hotel is ok having plenty of free parking. Rooms were spacious, clean and well stocked with the usual tea, coffee, bathroom gels, etc. But the mattress was VERY hard. I swear that, if the carpet had got a decent underlay, I would have been more comfortable on the floor!!Was only there for one night so didn’t bother requesting another room.Check in procedure was good with friendly receptionist.

We had a lovely stay, our heating wasn’t working but the night porter instantly fetched us a plug in heater. Our room was clean and spacious but the highlight for us was the delicious cooked breakfast which was served to us by Cristina she was absolutely delightful, so cheerful and helpful on both days, we actually looked forward to seeing her the next day. She is an asset to your hotel. She made my children feel so special and has the most infectious smile and demeanour.

Comfortable spacious room, if slightly dated in decor. Bed was large and not too hard or soft. Only 2 sockets, nowhere near the bed though. Decent size TV.Bar food was good, hot and arrived quickly. Menu choice was a little small though.

Even though the room was clean & spacious and breakfast lovely. This morning while having a shower I realised there was no body wash, then later there was no hand wash. I think the hotel staff should check the room properly before guests arrive . 28/7/19

The hotel is good, room was clean and spacious enough. Staff are brilliant. Breakfast was very good but not too much to choose from. The only downside was that restaurant didn't work on Saturday night.

My wife and I, along with another couple stayed at your property recently. We were pleasantly surprised at the wonderful service from check in to check out. The price per room was very reasonable, the service and quality of food in the restaurant was first class.Should we ever find ourselves in the Chesterfield area again we will not hesitate to avail ourselves of the Sandpiper Best Western.

Had a one night stay on the 26/9/18. The room was a decent size & lovely & clean. Bed was lovely & comfy. I just had a few niggles. All through the night I could hear water running & there was a green light in the room that lit the room up. The people staying in the room above me were very loud. I would stay here again because it's really clean. I'd ask for an upper floor room next time though.

Avoid this one. The reception was deserted when we came to check in. Had to go and find a member of staff. The standard of cleanliness in the room wasn't great. Towel rail was loose in the bathroom and the furniture and beds were worn out. Water tricked out of the cold tap. Told reception when we checked out about these issues and didn't seem even slightly interested. Not worth the money.

Easy to access from main road. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and spacious with comfortable bed. However, when neighbouring guest showered, the sound made it feel like they were in the room! Overall, reasonable value.
