Mai Hing in Chesterfield

Discusting food! Watered down tasteless curry, egg fried rice that was warmed up, definitely not cooked from boiled rice, clumps of rice stuck together and it smelt horrid! Absolute waste of a tenner ..... Yet another useless Chinese takeaway. There so hard to find.

Ordered from here a few months ago,it was ok.ordered tonight and I must say that was some of the worst food iv ever tried to eat, majority went in the bin.curry was so bland, rice seemed it had been cooked for a while, the prawn crackers was stale,asked for no ham in the rice and came with ham,chicken was like jelly,I could swear it must be different owners but apparently not.biggest waste of money #fuming

I ordered spring rolls and instead of a spring roll it was a deep fried rat . Many years of support ruined. Take my advice don’t go there. ( the rat was very nice btw.)

Excellent food at good value prices. A tucked away gem that's worth looking for. Look at the size of that pancake roll!

I absolutely love this restaurant! I order from here all the time, they even rang me when they saw my address was wrong. The lady on the phone is always so polite and lovely! You get loads for your money it's great prices not a rip off at all! Thank you!!!

EUsed this chinese for years, many changes in its time, it went downhill but iam glad to say its back better than ever, had a fair few chineses over the ladt few months, all been good, nice fresh king prawns, meat and vegatables, not to salty neither.A recomendation to tbe owners, the combination starter for 2 person, change the 2 small spring rolls to a full size normal spring roll, more seaweed as there is just enough for 1 person, sauce for chicken satay, rib and prawn tosdt was lovely. Also it needs more sauces, 1 pot per person, let the customer choose there flavour sauce say, 1 peking, 1 sweet n sour.Enjoyed our meal again, thank you team Mia Hing

Used Mai Hing for the first time last weekend. The menu is extensive compared to other local Chinese takeaways - so many veggie-friendly options! Had to try the salt & pepper tofu and I wasn't disappointed at all -really flavoursome, as were all the dishes we ordered. Huge portion sizes - the rice dishes come in big circular tubs, yet aren't expensive at all (same price as most places, around £5). The only downside was that I had to wait an hour and twenty mins for delivery to Brimington, though I did order on a Saturday, so I imagine it'd have been busy. Will order regularly from here now.

The food here was flavoursome unlike some local rivals who's food tastes bland in comparison. The dishes are generous portion wise with plenty of meat rather than the usual veg fill that seems to happen a lot nowdays. I had the jumbo special in hoi sin sauce wth was packed with meat and flavours. I can't comment on the rice but I've heard it's a bit al dente and not to everyones taste.

Found a fingernail in chicken chow mein my son almost ate it. Considering the current situation that's horrendous. If fingernail was bitten off and spat out I hate to think what the standards of hygiene are. In the current situation you are supposed to be taking extra care. Disgusting

Absolutely first class service tonight. Forgot an item and delivered it within 20 mins piping hot. Great phone manner and really really nice food. These guys know how to please.
