Recommended walk of about 30 minutes from Poolsbrook Country Park to the Albert Inn at Woodthorpe. Nice friendly welcoming village pub, decent beers and big sandwiches. Chatty hosts, good local.

Just stopped in whilst on a walk. Had a excellent meal cooked by ElisiaSuper service really friendly bar man Jamie. Would recommended. Pleased we found the Albert Inn.

Lovely friendly pub, food was delicious. 8oz steak on a skillet with onions and peppers, traditional chips, onion rings, mushrooms and tomato, £12 bargain

Looking for a pub with good grub at very reasonable price, then it’s The Albert. After a long walk four of us tucked into gourmet chips that were superb, as was my steak. Good real ale too and a very friendly landlord. What more could you ask for?

Loved it they fit us is last min the food was spot on tasty & plenty of it. The puddings were fab! Proper pub grub and proper pub atmosphere as it should be. Staff friendly and polite. Highly recommended well be back
