The Little Castle in Chesterfield

Went today with my family and enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere. It was very busy but the staff handled it well. My carvery was very tasty and turkey was beautiful, tender and succulent.My husband steak was cooked to perfection and my kids meals hit the spot.Will definitely be returning. Would like to thank everyone for a stressful free Sunday dinner.

Decided, as it was a Sunday, to pop in and have a carvery for our Sunday lunch. It was very busy but we were seated really quickly. Everyone was so nice and, even with a little wait at the carvery deck, we had our food in no time. The lady serving was so lovely, explaining about all the options and talking to us about our trip. The food was delicious - very fresh and full of flavour. I can't wait to go back again very soon!

Decided to call in last minute as we was child free and wanted somewhere local to eat after being at work all day. We were seated promptly at a table for two. Both myself and my partner had the mixed grill. Our meals arrived within 15 minutes, firstly no onion rings on the plate, peppercorn sauce arrived 5 minutes after the food and was lumpy with a very strange taste, the chips at first sight looked seasoned but after looking closely was more like black bits from the bottom of the fryer, the steak (or was it steak??) who knows, was awful, mushy and couldn’t eat it, next was the pork / chicken / piece of what looked like it had been used to scrub the dishes. Gammon very chewy, lamb chop or just chop as couldn’t find the lamb. Sausage one sausage had a horrible pink piece through the middle. Just not cooked. Spent just over £45 in total including two soft drinks. Total waste of money. We have both left feeling sick and very disappointed. We won’t be returning. We wasn’t asked how our meals were as we left or I would have said something then.

Went to the little castle today for a meal and it was amazing!! I had the steak and chips and it was cooked exactly how I asked and tasted great!! The waiter, Nathan, was so friendly he couldn’t have been more helpful!! The manager Sara was very nice and went out of her way to check our food was okay. Overall was a great experience and will defiantly be coming again!!

Fantastic meal out with family. Food cooked perfectly. Some of us had carvery and some opted for the mixed grill and burgers. A young lad, I think his name was Kyle, was serving on the carvery and he was very polite and nice to talk to. All the staff there was kind and looked after us well.

Well.. What can I say?We went with Mum n Dad and we had an utterly fantastic time...The food was great, the service was great! Olivia was our waitress and she was great! Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was very patient even when we were the last ones to leave... Thank you

Very friendly staff, nice decor and very spacious pub. We went on a Sunday when Carvery was on. Great range of vegetables and gravy / sauces. The gammon I had (in the picture) just fell apart when eating... So tasty! Would highly recommend. We were also in an electric car and there are two fast charging points in the car park

Went in for a lovely carvery with the family after a very overdue catchup. My husband had the pork after finding out there was no turkey, however this was not a problem as it was so succulent and flavoursome. We absolutely LOVED our server for the afternoon, Jack his name was, such a polite, friendly and welcoming gentlemen. We cannot wait to visit the little castle again and hopefully to be served by the wonderful Jack! Keep up the outstanding work.

I visited here on Christmas Day and really enjoyed my meal. It was a delicious three course meal, and there was an excellent selection of wine and after dinner drinks. The pork was delicious and brought me back to memories of my childhood. The team at the Little Castle were fantastic and really made the experience very special. Thank you
