Called in on a night out after it had been closed for a while. What a very pleasant surprise to find it has been refurbished in a very cosmopolitan way. I didn't get chance to eat but the food coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic and I can't wait to get chance to return to try it. There's a really great selection of beers to choose from. A great return to form for what was a tired establishment.

I'd recommendend this place as for our Christmas work lunch as I'd been a few times and it was always good. You worry that it will be as good as usual, but there were absolutely no concerns, the food was excellent as usual and enjoyed by all, the steaks especially were really good. A great choice of well priced drinks and very helpful and friendly staff... A1 recommended.

Staff and with particular thanks to Karen, were extremely friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome. Our Room was spacious and very clean with great facilities. The hotel itself is handily located for venturing out and very good value for money. Really enjoyed our dinners, particularly the Saturday night. Breakfasts in the morning, were excellent and were not made to feel rushed in any shape or form. Would definitely stay here again.

After a four night stay we didn't want to leave! The staff were so welcoming on arrival and throughout our stay we felt like VIPs. The rooms were clean tidy and had everything we needed. The bar area has great decor and the outside area is a real sun trap. The location is close to town and everything you could need is in walking distance. We ate here and the food is amazing and great value for money. The full English was a perfect way to start my day. Can't wait to return. Highly recommend.

This pub is outstanding.. we stayed one night but wished it was more. First of all the staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was better than some high end hotels I've stayed in, very spacious, extremely clean and decorated lovely, bed very comfortable. Evening food menu was great with plenty of choices. The food itself was delicious. Breakfast was to the same standard. We will definitely be staying again, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Chesterfield.

We stayed here a couple of months ago, AMAZING!!! the stay was lovely and breakfast was outstanding. Staff was polite and friendly and really helpful considering I booked the wrong date😂🤦🏽♀️ But they sorted it very quickly, I really recommend this place to anyone. Really modern and rooms are clean, the bar is also lovely, would definitely stay here again
