Fantastic customer service, fast serving and delicious food at very reasonable prices. We hadn't been for years due to previous bad experiences but since its changed hands, we are very impressed and will definitely return.

On entering I had the sense that I'd seen this all before. We were meeting up with friends and family and once seated we were quick to notice the sticky tables and the cobwebs on light fittings. It did not bode well for ordering food. The menu was the usual steak burger mixed grill but did offer some vegetarian food. Sadly on ordering the vegetable pie it was not available so an alternative was sourced. My fellow diners ordered, one being the gammon steak and chips with the customary fried egg. It was okay although the gammon was small in size of plus had a large amount of fat attached. I believe Aldi sell two smoked gammon steaks for around 1.30 this was 7.00 with a few chips an egg and tinned pineapple ring. Then it was my order 4 pork sausages mash gravy and veg. What could go wrong? After a wait a plate came to the table that resembled a not so good hospital meal. Carrots peas thrown on the side the carrots were tasteless and probably out of a tin with no seasoning plus watery. The peas were the opposite hard or dry in texture. Now for the mashed potatoes it sat on the plate like a cow pat and resembled smash mix something I'd not experienced since the late 70s. Mashed potatoes should be creamy and fluffy and sit proud on your plate however this was an effort long diflated from its best. Then the gravy, now I don't ask for much but a pack of bisto granules couldn't have been that hard to make but no even the gravy was like dishwater. No taste no colour ruined the meal. How hard is it to make some decent onion gravy?Only positive was the sausages 4 in total, they were not too bad , they had a meaty taste and were the only items consumed from this order that cost 6.75 , it's rediculous that some mash a spoon of carrots a pile of dried peas could cost so much but there you have it. I wasn't going to complain but someone in our party did on my behalf, this resulted in not a personal apology but a free dessert. Overall this is another tired corporation pub that's in need of a pick me up. Let's hope for the people of Corby this is sooner rather than later......

Myself, friends and family with 5 children attended the Pizza Party at Harper’s Brook this week.It was absolutely brilliant. The children really enjoyed themselves, the staff were so helpful and friendly to all the children involved which added to the experience.Everything that was included for the price too was incredible and the pizzas themselves were delicious! So much choice for everyone!I always look out for the family events posted on the Harper’s Brook Facebook page as they are always great for the family and always carried out and organised really well!Anyone that hasn’t been to one of these need to follow the Facebook page and keep their eyes peeled for future events! Thanks again Harper’s!
