Lovely meal in a lovely location. It is obviously very popular with locals as it quickly filled with diners which inevitably slowed service down, they could have done with an extra pair of hands! There were just a couple of niggles, after ordering crabcakes as a starter was informed that they didn't have any... so we asked for them to be taken off order.... on payment we noticed they were still.on the bill.. rather than wait until serving staff were available as it was busy we decided this amount covered the tip. My husband was offered carrots in addition to his mushy peas with his fish and new potatoes but they did not arrive, and one of his new potatoes was undercooked and darker in colour than the rest. Having said that, we enjoyed our meal and evening and would definitely return, if it was less busy we would have addressed issues and feel sure they would have been addressed.

Had my birthday meal here. Enjoyed a starter, main and dessert. It was absolutely delicious. The staff were very helpful, and were always there if we wanted another drink etc. Lovely atmosphere. Shall visit again.

Birthday lunch out and it didn't disappoint. The carvery was fabulous; the best roast I have had in a long time. Thank you from a well-fed family!

This is a great place to go for a meal out. The menus are varied and career for all tastes, including a kids menu! A lovely oldie worldie style place, with great igloos outside for an enclosed family meal, with heating of course! The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. There is plenty of parking spaces too.We have just discovered it and think it is brilliant.

We highly recommend the igloo experience! It was a lovely setting for this festive period and with the added benefit that the food was lovely. The starter was served to our igloo and we chose the carvery for our mains which was just over the courtyard to the main building.I can't recommend enough!

Awesome food, fantastic staff, lovely pub. Defo be going back more often. Starters were all super and the carvery was best I've had in a very long time. Staff were really nice and the lady behind the carvery counter made us feel relaxed and welcome. Great pub, great food great staff what else can u ask for.

Sondes Arms was clean, friendly and tasty. I went here for a team meal on a Wednesday night. It wasn’t too packed but just busy enough to feel a lively atmosphere. Despite this I must give four stars. The reason for this is because the staff felt all over the place and no where at the same time. Food arrived promptly but when we needed top ups of drinks or the bill it took ages. Far too long, at the point where it became frustrating. Especially when we wanted the bill so we could go home. I will be returning because the staff were friendly, welcoming and professional and I will be considering this as a hiccup on their part.

The food was lovely, served by a very disciplined & organised staff. The premises are quaint, clean & a relaxed atmosphere. The steak I had melted in my mouth with a proper beef taste & to add to this I had mushrooms with a taste I have not had for many years. Well done!

Excellent meal. Handled my food allergy confidently and adapted my choice to make it safe.Car park is very dark though and wasn't sure what was the front door to enter the pub from. Sign to car park is hidden by a tree and not lit... drove past it first time.Overall superb and can't wait to go back!

Popped in for the first time for a meal the staff were amazing and very helpful with the menu so thanks once again for a lovely lunch.
