I went for a meal with friends had a lovely meal price was good atmosphere was nice a little tight in room space car was a little small and on steep hill but it definitely would not put me off recommending it to others

Excellent well cooked food in a lovely atmosphere. Nice outside terrace for after meal drinks. Waiting staff very polite & welcoming, nothing to much trouble. Highly recommended

Extremely clean accomodation and lovely friendly hosts and staff. Considering it was busy at evening meal times the food was really of a high standard and no long waiting times. The barstaff were lovely, nothing too much trouble and always with a smile. Kevin the landlord was very helpful on local information for visiting other towns and sightseeing. Such an enjoyable stay and would definitely book again without hesitation.

So this is a difficult review.......The food was nice. The pub is lovely and the girls behind the bar were great. The whole experience was however ruined by whom I can only assume is the manager/owner. He could not have been more disinterested from the moment we walked in. To be fair it could just be that he has a zero personality and no hospitality.....But we asked for the bill which was brought over by one of the girls very quickly. We were looking through it, as you do, when the manager walked over snatched the bill from the table and put another one down which was £8.00 more. My partner asked what was that, which isn't an unfair question, and the response as he walked away was "your bill". No explanation why there was an increase. No apology for their mistake. To be fair the first bill was incorrect and we had no issue with paying correctly...but that was probably the rudest thing that has happened to me in a restaurant/pub.I did bring it up with him when he brought the card reader over and he couldn't of made it clearer that he didn't care.It's a shame as the rest of the experience was great.

Excellent value for money....easy check in...lovely room (Heritage room)...good choice of beer and the best pub food I have had in a long time at reasonable price...well done. Korean crispy chicken with rice...and belly pork with black pudding bonbons beautiful. Oh and the breakfast was up to scratch with good conversation with our host...keep up the brilliant work.

Beautifull pub in a great location.Stayed for 2 nights as a party of four really cannot fault the establishment everything was perfect from a good selection of wines and beers to the Michelin quality food attentive and pleasant staff really good prices too I can thoroughly recommend a visit here.We will be back.

The Royal George hosted my wife’s surprise 40th birthday party. The venue was great with amazing views over the valley. The covered drinks terrace area was perfect for us to socialise, whilst being protected from the bad weather we had of late. The highlight was service and food. Very attentive and friendly staff. The chef created the most amazing canapés and mains meals. They even baked my wife’s birthday cake. And to complicate things further I requested for all of the food to be vegetarian, and yet they made this with with such delicious flavours. We will definitely be returning!
