Staff pleasent. Bought out milk in for dietary request. Veggie burger nice. Steak pie poor. Rooms v poor. Room 1. No heating or hot water despite being told it was fixed. Couldn't bath my daughter. Bedside light not working. Television angle unwatchable. Room 2. Sink doesn't hold water. No heating. Smear of muck on back of bathroom door. Only one towel.

Lasagne and hunters chicken I was told tasted lovely. All nice and hot. Cconfusion with mine. I wanted cod and chips, got given fishless fish and chips. Fish bot looked eugh. Only had one bite was tasteless. Chips and myshy peas and bread very nice. Got a refund for that. Very good deal regardless as was buy one get one free on maineals. Drinks expensive. Lots of tables available. Only one car space was free for parking as others all full. Good value for money food.

High prices considering the quality of the food. Pudding was ice cream and cheese cake but took 25 minutes to come despite asking the female chef who came out where it was.. she just ignored us.

Great pub, fantastic food, only letdown was the recent change of staffing, had loads of good friends here who sadly have moved on, apart from that I'd highly recommend this to anyone.

Honestly disgusted by the staff’s attitude. We had booked for a family party in advance so we was expecting a long wait for food and was fine with that. However, the food wasn’t up to scratch, one example being the steaks and burgers were over cooked. We decided to just let this slide though as we were a big booking and wasn’t expecting everything to be perfect. But to then over hear 2 staff members talking about the young children and calling them names is just disrespectful and down right out of order. Bearing in mind the young children are all between 1-7 years old and a 50 minute-1hour20minutes wait for food will cause them to be agitated. The staff have not thought to bear in mind some of these children have underlying issues, it is absolutely disgusting. And then to top it off, when leaving the establishment we witnessed one of the chefs smoking a cigarette in her chef’s whites. Anybody who has worked in the food industry will know this is not appropriate hygiene procedures.

A very lucky find for Sunday lunch. The staff (Billy, Stuart and chef JP) made us feel at home and looked after us extremely well. Service was fantastic and the food (I had Turkey roast and my other half had fish and chips) was top notch. Absolutely no complaints about any aspect. I look forward to revisiting. Thank you, all. One woman behind the bar was extremely rude, everything was an inconvenience for her! don't know if she had a bad day but customer service certainly wasn't her priority! Other staff were great though. Food was great except that one meal was completely forgotten, and turned up just as everybody else had finished. We were reimbursed a pint but really I think the meal should have been free.

Excellent place for a good value for money food. Some meals on menu are two for price of one, which makes for even better value! Quality does not suffer. We had two roast beef Sunday dinners, followed by Christmas pudding. All good. Recommended.

I stayed a night here while attending a friend’s wedding nearby. A simple, clean place and very good value. The included breakfast was also very good, especially after having had a drink or two the previous evening. The staff were very upbeat and helpful.

Staff were lovely, if not a little nervous - my daughters food almost got launched across the table by a shaky but pleasant waiter - food arrived quickly but was definitely overpriced. £18.50 for a very middle of the road cod and chips and the burgers were tasteless and tiny. We won’t be coming back for the food in a hurry but the pub itself is nice and the staff are nice so maybe for a drink or two.
