Skylark Fields Farm Cafe in Daventry

Sam, Dave and the team have been nothing short of amazing. Our wedding dates and reception were all messed up due to covid. They have accommodated us and really gone above and beyond our expectations. The venue is brilliant with stunning views and very much catered for an excellent special day. Sam is an excellent event manager and just knows her stuff. Really hope you all the best for the future and will be in touch even if it’s a little hello. :)

Had our wedding at Skylark. Postponed for 2 years, moved from a Thursday to a Saturday and really had no idea what we were doing! But Sam, Dave, Joel and the rest of the staff were all amaaazing! Nothing was too much trouble, they were all super helpful when setting up the day before, they helped make everything look beautiful, the day went smoothly with no issues whatsoever, it was just perfect. Was so nice to have friendly faces checking in throughout the day too when I was having a quiet moment with my children and Joel was suuuuper helpful all day but especially when we were tired out (parent life!) and were trying to get the stragglers into taxis ha!! All in all it was just a perfect day, we loved the whole day, the venue is beautiful and we just can’t rate it enough! Thank you so much Sam, Dave, Joel and the rest of the team ☺️

DO NOT GO! Interrogation for use of carpark to pick up kids from grandparents sleepover when their cafe is shut! (where we spend our money). Weird man questioned why we were in the carpark when clearly capitalising for a 'private event'. 'Been watching you on the cameras'! I was doing a wordle whilst waiting to pick up my kids and then have a cup of tea!!!

Me and my husband got married here last month and it was just the best day! The venue is beautiful and all the staff are so amazing and attentive to make sure your day goes smoothly. We had a lot of guests commenting how nice the food was and said it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Thank you everyone at Skylark for making our day so special!

Sorry skylark but the order came out wrong, my baguette was not baked properly, in all not as good as you have been in the past.The smell of the hen sheds as you walk out the cafe door.

We were lucky enough to get married here a few weeks ago and had the most perfect day. Sam, Dave and Jake are fantastic at what they do and make you feel at ease through the whole planning process and throughout the actual wedding day. The venue is simply stunning and the food is amazing. Our wedding day was faultless from all the big details right down to the small details like Jake sorting my veil just before I walked in. Their attention to detail and genuine care for their clients is obvious. They want you to have the best day and we did! We have had so many wonderful comments from our guests on what a wonderful venue it is and how amazing the food was. Thank you again for making our day perfect.. we will see you in the cafe soon for breakfast as not surprisingly, that is pretty amazing too! Andrew & Natalie Aitken xxx

Editted my review as we recently got married so wanted to update it.Absolutely stunning venue! Staff are amazing, food was amazing, Sam, Nick and Jake and the team are brilliant! Nothing was too much of a problem, the day went so smoothly and they always had a smile on their face. I can’t recommend them enough. All of our guests had an amazing time. Will definitely be back for food in the cafe and to see those beautiful views again!

Skylark farm hosted my wedding this week and they were amazing! All the staff were so nice and helpful and nothing was too much trouble! A big thank you to Jake for making me and Joe feel so comfortable and relaxed the whole night and out on the drive! Sam and her team are amazing and I have nothing but compliments for them, all my guests came to me with compliments about the food and the venue itself! It is such a beautiful place! Everyone knows the frustration of looking for the perfect venue - starting with a search for venues with your chosen style that fits your wedding guests and looks amazing. You see the pictures online and they look great, the prices don't look bad too and then you check the place out and realise there are so many additional prices to get to the same standard as the amazing photos they use online. Suddenly that manageable, reasonably priced day seems impossible - so impossible that you almost lose hope. Thankfully just before we did we found Skylark.I couldn't believe it when we went to check the place out, with beautiful views and exclusive use of the place I knew the venue was everything we had been looking for. We sat down with Sam and she ran through what was included. There was absolutely NO hidden extras that had to be paid for - dance floor, table cloths, cutlery, ceiling drapes and lights all included amongst other things (these are some things I noticed other venues charged for). I was so relieved I cried!We were planning through Boris Johnsons indecisive phase and so we were never sure how many guests we could have or what restrictions would be in place but throughout Sam was flexible, amazing, and ready with suggestions and ideas to follow the guidelines in a fun way that would make the day feel more natural.Fast forward to the day and it was amazing, everyone loved the views and the feel of the venue. Countless guests commented on how lovely the staff were and it was so true! Not only were they ready to help whenever anyone needed anything but it was clear that they were enjoying themselves throughout the night. We cannot thank for the staff and venue enough, it was such a night to remember

Popped in to Skylark cafè this morning. This a wonderful family run establishment with awesome surroundings. The food is great with really good prices. The staff are friendly and make you feel like family. Sam the owner is so friendly warm and welcoming. Great place to have a wedding. Just to add, plenty of space to social distance. Would definitely recommend 😀
