Beautiful location. Rooms are really nice but could be better equipped. Had no towels so had to help myself to the ones which seem to be left in bags at bottom of stairs. Had food a starter and main. The starter was nice but the steak pie was so salty it was inedible. I Informed young lady serving and all I got was. " oh ok I am sorry " no offer of anything else. No return of money just that. I am.not surprised at the comments regarding this place. There is a clear lack of management and professionalism all around. How it is still in buisness I have no idea.

We always visit the old coach house after go karting at whilton mill. The place is lovely, the food is incredible especially last nights tapas. The staff go above and beyond which always makes the experience better. Highly recommended 10/10

Under new ownership.Dan Mollie Ellie and Chelsea made me feel welcome, I stayed here while working in Daventry, so this is based on how I found my stay as a single man away.Dan and his front of house team made every effort to make my stay excellent.Even had a breakfast pack made for me as I wouldn't be about for breakfast.Room clean enough, shower powerful and bed comfortable, good sized room for a double.Restaurant food fanbloodytastic,Will definitely stay again, even just for 1 night.. ..

A get together with old friends for bank holiday lunch, we sat early to try and reduce pressure. The young staff were really trying hard, the beer was good, salmon overcooked and the gravy on the roast dinner was way too sweet. Being short staffed meant everything was slow but we had time. The management needs to take a close look at the operation to provide a better experience.

A lovely setting. Nice to walk round the village. Food was very good. Room was small but had everything we needed. Restricted headroom in the bathroom.

Beautiful place, with a fabulous girl who works there. She was friendly, helpful, a real gem, and she was even there the next morning! What a star. Room was lovely and breakfast was delicious. Will definitely go back and recommend

Lovely country pub, great food and roaring fires in the winter months. I was there with my father for a midweek lunch and a pint. Excellent fish and chips!

Think that we might have caught them on a bad day. They were a bit late opening this lunchtime and when we got in all the tables we looked at had not been cleaned from the night before and the service was a bit slow as a result our teas and coffees were not very hot.

Didn’t stay here however booked for my fiancé’s birthday towards end of September.Food was good when it finally came out after waiting a solid hour for starters with no one coming to tell us what was going on.When I did ask, they said it was down to a ticket error in the kitchen which is fine…but communicate that with us! Not just leave us to dry!Food was great - service not so much.Shame as this was a really good place before them doing it up..pizzas were really good!Luckily we had 30% off and also discounted drinks so appreciate that, but would rather pay full price to a local place.

We went for lunch with friends with toddlers and babies and had a wonderful experience. The staff were really friendly, helpful and accommodating and managed to put us in a side room to make life easier with the toddlers. The food was also delicious and it was all so reasonably priced. A great option and super family friendly. And we will be going back again despite it being an hour and a half from home!
