The Red Lion Kilsby in Daventry

Stopped off for a drink with the misses, Lovely outdoor seating, friendly staff... Nice and quiet

Just spent one night at the red lion and found very pleasant. We found all the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Our room had a few thin cracks in the plaster and we think it has been replasted and should be expected,no problem. The cover covering the bed base could be improved just for looks but the bed was comfy. The carpet by the shower room needs a door plate to cover carpet edge. Tv reception poor. We had an evening meal and was lovely and a good portion. We had a 4hr trip to get here for a hospital visit and if we have to travel down again to visit we would not hesitate to rebook as it was very clean. Pity no breakfast.Thanks to all of the staff

Really great food. Been several times and never been disappointed. Took advantage of burger Wednesday, great value for money. Will definitely be back.

Friendly helpful staff. Outside recently painted - looks great. Several outdoor areas with one undercover. Large car park with village shop at top end. Rooms nicely decorated, ensuite completely tiled with modern tiles and done well. Beds were comfortable as were pillows. Good black out with blinds and curtains.Resturant small but had a nice feel to it.All meals cooked to order, they were absolutely great, lovely tasting and good size portions. Price for meal was very reasonable.Would we stay / come here again - most definately.

Went for a lunch with a family. The food was absolutely rubbish. I was given my beer nearly when I finished a meal. You can only eat outside as inside all you can smell is cigarette. Really disappointed how this has 4.5 stars. It probably ok as a pub only.

We were quite disappointed today when we went for lunch at the Red Lion. Family had travelled from London to meet us, after many months of not seeing each other. We were told when we started to order that we could not have fish and chips or anything fried and then after the meal, were informed there was no ice cream, both of these issues was apparently because of some machinery going wrong. We had a three year old with us, who would have had ice cream. This was Sunday Lunch, so surely we could have been informed in the morning of these problems. They had our contact details. It would have given us chance to go elsewhere. Things can go wrong in a restaurant, but at least give customers the chance to choose if they still wish to come along.

Friendly, bright with a huge selection of beverages on tap. Free WiFi and plenty of parking.The barman was of a cheerful disposition the moment I walked in. The fact they had Fentimans in the fridge made me even more happy!Good job.

One of the best pub meals in many months, came back following evening with friends, all highly delighted!

Beautifully clean and bright pub, lovely rooms. Never got chance to try the food but it did look lovely. Will definitely book again.

The atmosphere at this pub is fantastic, it's beautiful and is brilliant to sit in the garden in the summer! The staff are very welcoming and the food is delicious. If you're ever driving through Kilsby I recommend you stop off here when passing through Kilsby!
