Went for lunch on a beautiful sunny day. Sat outside. Food was lovely and good value. Service friendly and helpful. Seats uncomfortable. Need more cushions.

Sat outside for a drink then went inside to eat. Waited a long time for our food, but when it came it was very good and worth the wait.

We booked a table for Saturday the 11th at 6.30pm to catch up with friends it was in the bar. The evening was going okay we ordered the food and sat having a drink and a chat, the food took a long time to arrive, when it did it was okay the Carbonara had very little sauce. The atmosphere was quite loud as it was pretty busy but the noise level was bearable, then someone in their wisdom turned on music that was extremely loud!! and not something that would be background music therefore the volume of people talking went up beyond comfort with one table screeming at each other to be heard. We asked for it to be turned down but it didn't happen,so we left without ordering anything else, the atmosphere was as if we were being forced out if we couldn't stand the loud music. It spoilt what should have been a nice evening meal out with friends.

Popped in for a pint, we had Worthington's it was extremely average. This pub has a shabby chic look, example odd chairs, rough wood beams... Pub has no soul so we didn't hang around.

Great chicken carbonara and good real ale beer selection. Quite a long wait as it was a busy Friday lunchtime but quality of food worth it.

Great food, steak cooking on the stone, is different. Just be very careful as you don't want to cook yourself.Great sauces and chips with the steak. The costs of the steaks seemed disproportionate to the rest of the menu, but I suppose your paying for the theatrics of the cooking at the table with the steak sizzling away.Very nice place and the staff were good, although I think they got a little rushed of there feet at one point due to all of the tables being booked it at a similar time.Great place will be back to sample some of there other options.

Fantastic meal here. We had the fillet and chateaubriand on the hotstone and a pizza. The meat was perfect. You can choose a range of sauces and butters with them as well as chips and other sides. Puddings were also ace. Service fantastic. We would definitely come here again when back in the area. Its possibly even a destination restaurant to make a special journey. Boom.

A lovely old high street pub with a roaring log fire. Warm and cosy. The menu and beer choice was excellent and we had Doombar and a pizza and there were no complaints whatsoever! Good, smiley service as well.

Nice place good character, great rooms, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, only slight negative is the rooms back onto the smoking shelters so no sleep until we'll after closing time. Could do with a sign asking smokers to keep the noise and language down after 10pm. That said would stay again.
