I had a Sunday Roast. It was a fairly simple affair. I was a little disappointed with the roast potatoes. They were not crisp and appeared to have been cooked too close together. The turkey was tender. The bacon wrapped stuffing was not good. The rest of the vegetables were well cooked. Service was very good.

We booked to take two friends for a meal for last Saturday night at 7pm. We didn’t leave until 10pm as a result of the very slow service! We only had two courses each and for both had to ask our waitress when the food would arrive. Definitely not good enough even for a busy night. Not likely to return, sadly.Tim and Ann

Food, atmosphere, service, staff & location were all brilliant. Friendly attentive service from entry to exit was shown by all. The bar service was just great and the table service by Karen went up and beyond. The food was high restaurant quantity. Thanks, this was a great visit and we would highly recommend this place.

We were looking forward to have a nice evening at this pub, we booked for 5 and were 10 minutes late, after waiting at the seating stand for a while the lady with red hair (I guess was the manager?) and with POOR customer service skills mentioned straight away how we were 10 minutes late and that I was a “busy one” (we know how to count, we were about to apologise about that but after that we didn’t even want to, 10 minutes late for roads been closed by the way) I didn’t want to start because I worked in pubs myself (and that was a BUSY ONE, not pretending to be busy with a handful of tables in) and I felt bad but we felt so uncomfortable we had to leave.Half of the menu was missing too, one of us works for the same company and we know the standards of the other venues but half menu and rude staff is not something we’ve seen anywhere elseI would have left 0 stars but unfortunately it’s not possibleSuch a shame cause was a birthday meal too.Good on you guys

Average roast dinner. The Fox and Hounds in Harlestone had a power cut so we were recommended to go here. I'm afraid to say the roast dinner was fairly disappointing. Roast potatos and most of the parsnips (apart from two) were very undercooked (see photo of the parsnips we left). For the price you don't get a lot of meat. I had two thin cuts of turkey with my roast. The broccoli was not fresh (going yellow). Seems that they need a new chef. Will not be returning.

Such a beautiful place/location and food was good apart from burnt garlic bread and an unwillingness to replace it initially due to 'being too busy' . Not sure if it was a waiting staff issue or not enough staff for the amount of people booked in... Was in good company so not a deal breaker...

First time here, beautiful venue, staff and food was soo delicious. I've always driven past but now I'll be stopping a lot more often!! Definitely recommend even of it's just for a drink in the garden!
