Went with family today for a Carvery,Seated by Debbie straight away, Carvery was fantastic and very tasty. Adam talked us into having desserts and the lemon muffin cheesecake us now our favourite. Atmosphere in the pub was great with lots of happy families eating around us. Well done Blue Jay, we will return soon.

We popped in for carvery whilst passing by, lovely. Not a place I regularly use but probably will be now. Staff were great as I have allergy issues. (Pen carrier) so yeah will go again.

Does what it says on the tin, if you're staying the rooms are decent, however there is no lift so if you're on the first floor bee prepared to have to lug your bags up the stairs! Staff are friendly and helpful, loads of parking for both hotel and pub, has electric charging points to. My only complaint is, when I was there it was quiz night and there is no where to get away from it if you're just trying to eat and not be involved...quiz master was funny..but very loud...

We had lunch on the 15th of April and the food was excellent from starters to the mouth watering praline tart which is to die for 😍. The staff were all extremely friendly, especially the lovely carvery chef. The atmosphere is lovely too and i think it's adorable that you have pooch friendly areas and treats at the bar. Thank you.

I have visited the Blue Jay on a number of occasions for various events, party nights, family meals and meeting with friends. I have never been left disappointed. All the staff are really friendly and helpful, the food is great particularly the carvery. I'm really looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Danny and team

I arrive at the blue Jay which has a separate hotel to the pub, clear sign in car park to reception in pub, Adam got me check in very quickly and I also decided to purchase breakfast and come back for dinner as there serve food until 10pm. Really comfy bed with a nice big television and lovely and warm room

Very friendly, helpful staff - the housekeeping ladies were particularly lovely!. Good sized rooms and comfortable beds (our rooms were very clean, apart from the chair seats which would benefit from a quick hoover, but this is only a small gripe) Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and the evening meal was good too.

Great experience, room was lovely, clean and adequate for what we needed. Went for a meal and the staff were very friendly, polite and very accommodating. The food was gorgeous and very reasonably priced

Carvery is OK, well cooked meats but very little choice of vegetables. Wouldn't say its the healthiest as there were roasted parsnips, broccoli and cauliflower in cheese sauce, roast potatoes, mash potatoes - only other vegetables were carrots and sweetcorn. Pricing isn't the cheapest either in comparison to other carverys at just under £10 for a medium plate.Haven't tried other foods here as yet.Staff are very friendly though and good atmosphere.

My daughter and I decided to treat ourselves to a carvery..and I have to say.. it was delicious. I rarely clear my plate but did on this occasion..everything was lovely. It was quite busy but we were soon shown to our table and ordered our meal. The staff were all lovely. I look forward to coming back soon
