Hot, fresh, excellent food and a good selection. Beautiful carrots, fabulous meat and divine cauliflower cheese! 😍 Super friendly and attentive staff which is wonderful and thoroughly cleaned!Thank you! Would highly recommend and definitely return! 🎊We continue to return whenever we are in Derby!

We always come here for breakfast. Me and my partner are both vegan so it’s hard finding somewhere that we enjoy eating at. Food is always nice and hot and all the staff are very friendly! Would deffo recommend.

Came in yesterday for food and drinks and have to say we really enjoyed it and ended up staying for a couple of hours. The ladies on the bar were so nice and the interaction with the customers old and young was really nice to see. 100% genuine and not put on like you see in most establishments. Their both an absolute asset to your pub and because of this we will definitely be returning. Than you for a wonderful afternoon.Had to ask the ladles names and they were Sophie and jenny xx

We booked for 11 adults and 2 children. We had a row of tables in a quiet area of the carvery restaurant. The food was excellent, the service very good, and the prices are brilliant. Katie looked after us really well. Thank you for making my wife's birthday so nice.

Popped in for breakfast this morning, not been for years after the last experience put us off, however today was surprisingly amazing, food was great, service with a smile, will 100% go again. Well done all for the great turn around. See you again 😁

Visited on Sunday 20th just after 1pm. Poor service. To be honest worst service ever had here. Took over 45 mins from placing order to getting food (baring in mind the only punters who were in there were mainly drinking hardly anyone sitting down to eat)The starters came with mains which was not asked for. Staff blatantly lying to us when delivering food to table about not being able to find the table. Food was left on hot counter for a long period of time also before being brought to the table and lied to. Had quite a few issues with the app. Management didn’t really seem to care about the service. Food was very poor quality on arrival would have had a better and cheaper experience if I would of just bought a ready meal from the shop.However I would like to commend the bar staff for how well they were handling everything even without input from management. They deserve a pat on the back.

The best carvery I've had from here in a long time. Couldn't see through the slithers I've had in the past fresh veg and potatoes and gravy was nice and thick.Compliments to the chef and server. Tom and Jenny

We had a carvery on 15th Nov at Blue Peter and it was amazing!The food is always good here and the staff were so kind and attentive.We've never had a bad meal here and we've been using this pub on and off for years now.I just need to train myself to stop getting it mixed up with the Blue Boy!! 😂😂😂

Arrived at 5pm, with an empty belly. I noticed there was still plenty of meat. They swapped all the gammon, Turkey and beef for fresh joints, because "They didn't want to serve dry meat". The bar staff and chefs were helpful and attentive. They made me feel like they were trying to impress, they did. Its not posh or pretentious, it's real people in a real restaurant eating really good food.Back here again in the same week, but for pizza this time. Such friendly staff, we have the 'Amazing Amy" on the bar, and top pizza chef "Katie" on the oven. Once again, amazing food (and 2 4 1).

I would not recommend using this pub at all for food... I av just ordered a carvery for myself and kids 1 of which is type 1 diabetic and had took her insulin.... basically the food turned up my daughters came with no potatoes no veg nothing apart from meat and Yorkshire pudding and a burnt sausage... others were cold lumpy mash dried up roast potatoes and manky veg... I rung manager to explain I wasn't happy and basically told there is nothing he can do... I am a single mum and av just used my last bit of money ordering this food which I use lightly and don't get nothing else till tomoz so now I'm left with no money and no way of feeding my kids I explained this to be told again nothing he can do... I explained my daughter is diabetic and needs food or she will drop into a diabetic coma again to be told nothing he can do... how disgusting and I will be taking matters further
