Carnero Lounge in Derby

I Love this place!!! I have some really nice memories here. Great Lounge no matter what time of day it’s always, always, got a vibe. The ambiance is amazing. Chilled place. Great selection of food. Great customer service. Great experience. I’d highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed. Definitely make a visit if your in Derby. 💫

I've not got to my food yet, but I've already experienced enough to write a review....not a good sign!Staff attitude was appalling, my pot of tea was practically thrown at me, complete with a dirty cup. No Biggie, that happens with commercial dishwashers sometimes. I asked for a clean cup, which didn't go down well but when she came back with a new cup it was dirtier than the first one. My partner watched her take it out of the dishwasher, try to rub it off with her hands, and scratch off caked on food with her finger nails. "It's just coffee stains she said when we pointed out the 2nd cup was dirty. "No, it's covered in lipstick" my partner replied, something I hadn't seen from my side of the cup.Saying nothing she left with the cup and brought back 2 more cups, the cleanest cups by for so far, and as you can see from the phone, STILL not even remotely clean!Just wipe it with some blue-roll and warm water for god's sake, and wipe that foul attitude away while you're at it.I await my food experience with baited breath 🤣

Excellent food and drinks! A great place to hang out with friends and talk! Spent a few hours there and loved the environment. Felt like food before I left and got a really strange dish that I absolutely loved.I can't for the life of me tell you what it was that I got. It has slow cooked beef in it, cheese, sour cream and was topped off with chorizo.All I know is that it was very tasty.

Visited for the first time today, a very nice place indeed, it can be seen that someone has put a lot of thought and effort into the lounge.it was very busy when we got there so it was a little wait for our food which is to be expected, but when it came it was delicious.I would highly recommend the chips they were very tasty.The portions weren’t massive but I guess you’re paying for the experience as well.Everywhere was lovely and clean and a nice touch with the children's corner.Would highly recommend.

We went here on a Monday afternoon, it was the only time for our 'date' as we have a baby... I rate this as 1 for two reasons... There are only 3 options of non alcoholic cocktails, and 1 was just bearable. I honestly could not even drink the other two, partly because the Lemonade used was dead. In this day and age, having only 3 options and 2 of those being undrinkable is shocking to me, and really did ruin our time there. My second reason is that The couple who were serving at the time, it seemed to me, to be too busy having fun together than caring how our time there was faring. We told the lady that I couldn't drink the 2 drinks and she really couldn't care less. Her reaction was basically, what do you expect with non alcoholic drinks??... The food was mediocre. Except for the burger my husband ordered, that was delicious. But the coleslaw... Horrible, tasteless! Chips... Meh. We really feel the problem was the service, if they were more occupied with giving good service, being bothered about our experience it would have ended better, so this is not a review for the place itself, but the service on that day.

Fantastic. My daughter went for a meal with 3 friends for her 16th birthday. I left them to enjoy their evening and returned to pay later. The staff were lovely and my daughter and friends felt very safe there. The food and surroundings were superb. Everyone had a fantastic time and was great value. Thank you to all at Carnero, you made her birthday a night to remember!

Absolutely amazing the best burger I have ever had. The staff are very friendly and asked when my partner and I walked in if we had any dietary requirements or allergies which I haven't been asked before on the walk in. The waiting time between ordering and eating was short and drinks were brought over after a couple of minutes. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cosy and welcoming and the music compliment the environment.

Very large modern restaurant with a quirky colourful decor. Plenty of Gluten Free and Vegan options. Staff are friendly and the service is brilliant. If you are lucky enough to get served by Dan, he really looks after you. Enjoy. M

Never disappointed at Carnero Lounge! It's family friendly during the day which is great, and it's really spacious too (for buggies etc.) Staff check if you have any allergies when ordering and the menu has a wide range of options for all tastes, including good vegan options. Our last visit cost under £20 (one adult and two children): child's sausages and chips, side of fries, Lounge Eggs, two blackcurrant squashes and a Coke. Great food, great atmosphere!

Needed a good breakfast on the bank holiday and this place didn't disappoint.The ambiance was great and the staff were really attentive. Food was amazing and the self-service table app was spot on.Well done to everyone who was working there. They got it right and that's amazing as we've been to a few places that seemed to struggle with the basics.
