Chaiiwala in Derby

Brilliantly served by Bilal I believe he is the store manager the new staff they have now are brilliant It was about time they got some good staff who actually appreciate customers. The food and tea is 10 out of 10

First time trying this place. It was difficult to understand the selection of dishes as I’ve never had this cuisine before. Thanks to Raabiah, she recommended a good selection of treats and the tea was sublime.

It could be better, If I can rate below zero. Don't try to buy anything if you are in hurry. They are short on staff and most of them are untrained which waste your precious time. It's been 40 mints to prepare a simple breakfast and the restaurant is not busy at all. The staff members is keep on saying 1 mint, we are busy. This isn't the way. I haven't received my order even after that much time

As usual amazing and the service is always 👌👌👌editing my review as service has gone downhill and food has been literally ice cold and this was the 5th time that i had the same issue, management should look into this as we are locals in derby and we dont have any better places for breakfast during the weekday excep chaiwala, they are always out of stock and serves cold frozen food nowadays

Just visited Normanton road branch where it took over 40mins for our food when there were no other customers In front. Realised that it was because they ran out of bread so they sent the lady behind counter to fetch some when another lady returned. No explanation or apology offered for the delay. Breakfast was cold and tasteless. Paid extra for onions and tomatoes in omelette which they forgot to include so raw diced tomato and onion were added to the top of the omelette. Definitely not worth the £10 per head I paid for breakfast. Won’t be going back.

We came on a Sunday lunchtime. We were a big group and the service was amazing. No problem to answer our many questions or deal with our various dietary requirements. Asama was super friendly and great. We had a really good time, it was all brilliant.

A traditional North Indian breakfast consisting of parathas and chana masala is always great and the picture is really supportive of that I guess. However, this was my second time and I must say the parathas were better the last time. They were still great though maybe a little bit of more ghee (this doesn't qualify as a 'healthy' breakfast anyway).Still a recommended place, no doubt!!!

Incredible authentic food!! So much flavour and seasoning. The staff were so helpful and friendly, really made the visit! Will definitely be coming back

Nice place to go for a desi breakfast. Had the aloo paratha, halva puri and karak chai. One recommendation I would give - as the desi food is oily, providing wet wipes to wash away the grease from your hands would be very useful.
